South Korea Issues Update on Georgia Hyundai Plant ICE Raid

"Detained"? That seems to be the rallying cry of the anti-ICE left these days. The thing of it is that we are all detained when we are stopped for a traffic violation and we accept it. You could say we are detained when we have to wait for some political event. It's easy for left wing politicians and their minions in the media to use the terms "arrest and detain" in the same context when dealing with their own ignorant angry constituency.
Yet when the light turns green, we are free to go.

There may be more to the 300 Korean detainees than we know.

Their attorney says they were here legally on work visas.

Highly specialized work that Americans aren't trained for ? Does anyone believe that load of steaming bullshit ?

Would you rather see US citizens get those jobs or are you just bitching because Trump and you just don't give a shit what the issue is. It's seriously looking like a mental disorder with you nut jobs. If Trump wanted to save baby seals you lunatics would be screaming to kill them

By the way I have never voted for Trump just tossing that out there to cut off the inevitable "you are a racist, Nazi, bigot,Fascist MAGA" rant.

We built a plant in China. We had to go set it up and show the Chinese how to run it.

It's not a difficult concept.

And now, the opening of the plant will be delayed by at least three months, and the Koreans are now skittish over whether to invest any more money in an apparantly hostile environment.

IAW with the law.

I read they went there over reports of five or so Latino's working illegally.

Then ooops.

And when the law makes it incredibly difficult if not impossible to build the factory?

You are an idiot. You do know that the US manufactures cars and has built automobile factories before ?

Those who design a plant know far more about building it. Especially after having done it before,

And when the law makes it incredibly difficult if not impossible to build the factory?
That's not the problem. It was company compliance and not doing due diligence with the law.

You act like you're connected here somehow.

It’s definitely the problem. The company needs workers from South Korea to get the plant started up.

Yes, actually.
-They want the plant and its operations built a certain Hyundai way.
-They want to train the new US employees in Hyundai manufacturing methods.

There is a Hyundai plant in Alabama. It's been operational since 2005.

Producers have to keep their products competative. If they can't do it in USA, they will do it in another country. For all I know, maybe there is a big shortage of competent employees for this company. There goes an element of USA's Gross National Product.
It was a construction project
