Sorry USMB'ers, "Internet(s) Addiction" didn't make the List!

My son has a problem writing. He is afraid of failure and never learned how to organize his thoughts. Writing an English paper is nearly impossible for him. In High School they finally recognized his handicap and gave him a disability for it. Extra help and time with writing assignments. But once he went to college forget it. he is a Genius at math but can not pass an English course to save his soul.

He was so good with math and computers he won a scholarship which he lost after one year because he could not pass English courses. In High School every year he failed English and had to take it again in the summer. There he got a teacher that understood his problem and let him TELL her rather then write papers. She gave him tests with smaller broken up English on it. He passed every summer.

Legal decisions, government programs and even how we see ourselves, and one another, are all affected by the DSM.

The decision to leave internet addiction out may have something to do with money. Imagine how many people would qualify that government cheese.

It's Inclusion may be the Final Straw... If that Day EVER Comes, that is.
