We haven't even been able to figure out how to make a computer that functions the way it should 100% of the time.
Thats not true.

Most computers function as they should, except outside factors such as ads, malware, new programming, etc. cannot be 100% predicted or integrated. In physics, its like the theory of everything. It hasnt been worked out, yet. Same with the "computer code for everything."

Ive never had a calculator tell me the wrong response to an equation. That is a computer.

So what if robots do function they way they should and humans begin to program them to "control" us in various ways, unbeknownst to us?
you mean like a book full of draconian propoganda that threatens torture for eternity if you dont kiss someone's toes

I'm not really keen on the idea of messing with mother nature too much either. :D I think it is always going to have some unintended negative consequences.
Its all a part of Nature ~ or it wouldnt even work.

You must realize that, as sad as it is, we NEED people to die. The world would fill up so fast if people weren't dying.
That assumes we are limited to just earth...which is not even close to true. We found a couple MORE goldilocks planets just a couple of weeks ago.

They're currently working on speed, our current barrier to the far reaches of space ~ but very much within our wheelhouse, eventually.

Once Pandora's box has been opened . . . you can't take it back. Lots of things that have been created for good have been used to commit evil. Don't fool yourself into thinking this technology would be flawless and only be used for good purposes.

Almost every technology ever invented has been used in ways that could be called "evil".

The only option is returning to zero technology.

Says biology and nature. :rolleyes-41: Why in the HELL do you think they are trying to get people in Africa to use condoms and such?
Biology and nature, which allow us to circumvent aging, are also what say that theres a reason we have to age?

Do biology and nature "think" and do things on purpose, too?

Ridiculous. Biology and nature are what they are and they serve a purpose and a function. Also, if you want to live forever, then go find an inhabitable planet that would be capable of feeding and providing for a planet FULL of human beings.

We would use up all of our resources in no time if people didn't die. They are NOT infinite.
In the whole....Universe, I mean ~ they're certainly infinite in terms of we'd have to have 8 gazillion pillion quatrillion ba billion humans to use even a sixteenth of them.

Plus, we wouldnt even need to reproduce as much.

Nihilism vs optimism is fascinating when there's such clear answers to the malformed objections.

Theyve already found tons of those planets, that arent inhabitable....theyre in the goldilocks zone to their nearest star for potentially supporting life.

Biology and nature are what allow these advances to be possible. Saying "nuh uh" and being mad at it is dumb.

You have to FIND this planet before you start overpopulating THIS planet. Otherwise, we will all be like the starving Africans because we will have used up our resources. With the amount of people that are born every day and nobody dying, this is just common sense and reality.

Only the RICH would thrive in such an environment. More people would starve to death and die.

Theyre found already ~ and lots of them. Now, we are working on travel. Like I already said.

Do you think that all of science works on just 1 thing, at once? Thats goofy.

Why don't you post me a link to where they have found a planet that can realistically support human life? I'll wait. Thanks.

Just think of how dangerous this kind of technology will be when it falls into the wrong hands. They could create armies of fighting robots.
do you think a drone isnt a fighting robot because we didnt give it human facial features and such?

how about a sattellite guided missile ~¿

How about Obama drones that randomly kill terrorists around the world?

All you have to do is google 'planets discovered within the goldilocks zone' ~

goldilocks zone is described as being within the correct distance from their nearest star to have the potential to support life.

Weve found lots of these potential planets, and are working out better telescopes and space travel to be able to study them.

Humans have always been in search of knowledge which the old story of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is all about in the Bible.

Trouble is, they could care less about wisdom to handle such knowledge.
