Yes, all good Christians would rather no one ever be executed.

But if the Lord asked me "When?" my answer would be "Now."

I am Christian. And Christians who are against the 'death penalty' are terribly mislead. The death penalty was instituted by God once Noah stepped off the boat.

(Gen. 9:5-6) "And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."

Man is given the authority, by God, to exercise the death penalty for the murder of man. That authority has never been removed. Many like to say that is Old Testament. So what, it has never been removed. The Mosaic Law has ceased, but this death penalty was before the Mosaic Law and is still in place.

Note that before this was instituted, man did not have the authority to take another's life for murder. Remember Cain and Abel. God cursed Cain and drove Cain out away from Adam and his family. (Gen. 4:11-12) But Cain feared some would come and kill him for his killing of Abel. (Gen. 4:14)

And God said, "...whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold...." God would not allow the death penalty.

But after the flood that changed. In order to curb the wickedness that got out of control, resulting in the flood, God instituted the death penalty for man to exercise.

But of course liberal and leftest whiners complain how unjust that is. And whiney Christians complain how God loves everyone and so there should be no death penalty. Because they don't know God or the Scriptures.

God instituted the death penalty for man to exercise on God's behalf. If man, as so many in the U.S. does, says he just can't do it because he is so good and kind, God says ok. Don't do it. But I gave it to you to curb wickedness. And if you don't want to do it, the multiplication of wickedness is on you. Now you can live with it.

Which is where we are at today.
