Soooo of kim is assassinated it's automatic nuke?

This is an odd development. What happens if somebody.... Anybody just randomly offs the
Guy?

It's the price violent Terrorist nations like the US have to pay for their bullying and arrogance .

I have an idea that Kim posts here as Morticia .
So he knows how unstable and mentally unbalanced so many Americans are .

What's wrong with a Dead Man switch?

This sounds like a "dead hand switch"....

Meaning a set of switches are activated once they are ignored....meaning periodically someone has to reset the system and if the system never gets reset....aka dead hand....the device activates completely.

But Korean doesn't translate to English well.

Russia had a dead hand switch on its nukes that had been disconnected but since its invasion of Ukraine reactivated....they claim.

We dont really know....North Korea and Putin lie a LOT. Very dysfunctional and psychotic, and pathological in their lies.

So it's a 50/50 for it being true.

Just a quick reminder that Donald Trump is the guy who allowed Kim to develop nuclear weapons. In return, Trump received a box of bone fragments from the Korean War. The Art of the Deal, kids. The Great Negotiator.

This is even better than Trump's first trade war when he tore up all of your trade deals because your trading partners were "screwing you over", and replaced them with his own trade deals promising to wipe out the trade deficit. Your trade deficit went from $735 billion in 2016, to $1.230 trillion in just 9 short years.

And now Trump has called his first deals "stupid", and is running another trade war.

Still better than the Trump administration which lies 100% of the time.

You have a mental health problem that needs to be addressed....

Zoloft or something....

It's news. Just because they happened to use that as a source, doesn't mean it's not what's being reported everywhere.
It’s tabloid fake news.

You are free to show us where it was reported by a credible news source.

The OP won’t.

You're projecting again. When people insult others, they always accuse them of the things they hate about themselves. Like Azog calling everyone "fat" because he has a weight problem.

I'm sure the nurse will be around with your meds in a timely manner.

It's not being reported ANYWHERE by ANY credible news source.

Are there any of those anymore?

Good question. I guess they're thinking that if he's killed they will know who did it. But, I'm wondering if he gets killed if the real result will be everyone jumping up and down in joy and having a party.

I’m sure the empty stretch of ocean where North Korea’s shitty defective missiles always land is terrified….

No....I'm reminded instantly that you are from another country constantly trying to butt into strictly American topics and conversations as if your voice actually mattered. It's automatically an insult when you try. And you somehow have zero self awareness that it is insulting....

Because you act shocked when people react appropriately to your outrageous insults.

Meaning you have a mental disorder.
But are claiming others do....

Yes, you are nuts. Certifiably nuts.

But usually they don't. More weight missile should deliver - lesser it's range. And lesser range means lesser safety for the submarine.
I believe that most of our nukes are MIRVs now because, spreading smaller nukes around does FAR more damage than one big nuke,.

If you are talking about fragile surface buildings, it's definitely true. But for some targets one may need big nukes, or even crustbusters.

What is an MIRV?

A multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV) is an exoatmospheric ballistic missile payload containing several warheads, each capable of being aimed to hit a different target. The concept is almost invariably associated with intercontinental ballistic missiles carrying thermonuclear warheads, even if not strictly being limited to them. An intermediate case is the multiple reentry vehicle (MRV) missile which carries several warheads which are dispersed but not individually aimed. All nuclear-weapon states except Pakistan[a] and North Korea are currently confirmed to have deployed MIRV missile systems.

Nukes are always detonated at an altitude no?

Not necessarily. If you need to hit a silo, there, usually, should be surface burst, or even underground. Or underwater if you need to hit a submarine (while, nowadays, the USA doesn't posses underwater charges). Or, a shaped-explosive nuclear charge that hits a target with a jet of super-dense Uranium plasma for the very deep underground targets.

90% correct....GREAT job! (Most don't even get this much correct)

The part you left out is that these warheads do not have to be nuclear....but it helps considering what's coming back at us for firing off a ICBM unscheduled.....EVERYONE watches out for those things these days.

Also....these are going to be fusion bombs instead of fission bombs (much cleaner with HUGE burst of life ending radiation but little residual radiation).

Also the size of the detonation (yield) can be changed during flight and even final destination can be changed in flight.

Triton missiles each carry 8 warheads apiece. They are everywhere....on submarines, military bases around the world on mobile launchers, and silos in the side of Hell's Canyon in Idaho and other locations. (Narrow, DEEP canyon).

The military spends 20 billion each year on upkeep and maintenance....including replacing the tritium every year in some. (20 yr half-life) The USA's missiles are very much viable. Russia? China? Great question... these are not just something thrown in a closet and hope they work....and both of these countries have issues with integrity of service personnel....using solid rocket fuel to cook hot pots, pocketing the money supposedly spent refurbishing equipment. (Lots of issues)

"Multiple Independently targetable Reentry Vehicle"

Its a nuclear warhead that splits into multiple lower yield nuclear warheads, each one of which is guidable. Using multiple clusters will spread fires far and wide. You send a couple of the clusters into the city, and the others into the towns on the perimeter of that city. It causes significantly more destruction than one large warhead would.
