North Korea has adopted a new “nuclear” law
South Korean intelligence reports that, in the event of a threat to the lives of the country's leadership, the North Korean armed forces will launch an immediate nuclear strike against the enemy.
According to South Korea’s National Intelligence Service, the new provisions call for the automatic use of nuclear weapons if the command and control of the DPRK’s nuclear forces is threatened by an attack from “hostile forces.” This refers to an immediate response without further consultation.
It is noted that these changes were made against the backdrop of rising tensions due to the conflict in the Middle East. The DPRK expects that the new measures will help deter other nuclear powers, particularly the U.S., and ensure the stability of the regime in the event of a crisis.
It seems the Koreans have finally built a delivery system capable of reaching the US, which they announced in a rather straightforward manner )))
It is believed that they have had such ICBMs for quite some time. The current Hwasong-17 and its presumed modification, the Hwasong-18, have a range of 15,000 km or more. That is enough to strike any point on the planet with a nuclear warhead.
Back during Trump’s first term, the North Koreans unveiled the Hwasong-15 with a range of 12,000 km, after which the Yanks immediately cooled off in their posturing against the DPRK and haven’t mentioned it since.
Since the Hwasong-15 can reach Washington and any major city on the East Coast.
Prior to that, it was believed that the DPRK could reduce to nuclear ashes only South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, maybe Hawaii.
Now, if South Korean intelligence isn’t lying, conclusions have been drawn following the U.S. strikes on Iran, where a significant portion of the country’s top leadership was killed in an attempt to dismantle the state apparatus and the country’s governance. They decided to play it safe and activate a “dead hand” system.
