so far the only documennted violence is the military against unarmed protesters.

It looks like the person that was not a candidate during the last election, Guaido, is the one directing civilians & others to create chaos, and Guaido is actively supporting treasonous insurrection against the Venezuelan Government.

Guiado is the equivalent of the Speaker of the House, who is third in line for the Presidency. If something happens to the President and VP, the Speaker becomes President, even if she didn’t run for President. Because the President of VZ was fraudulently elected, he has legitimacy to become President. In fact, he is calling himself interim President and will hold free elections after he is installed.
