“I am an atheist, but as far as blowing up the world in a nuclear
war goes, I tell them not to worry.”___Fred Hoyle

“Life cannot have had a random beginning ... The trouble is that
there are about 2000 enzymes, and the chance of obtaining them
all in a random trial is only one part in 10^40,000, an outrageously
small probability that could not be faced even if the whole universe
consisted of organic soup.”___Fred Hoyle

“There is a coherent plan to the universe, though I don't know
what it's a plan for.”__Fred hoyle

“The notion that not only the biopolymer but the operating program
of a living cell could be arrived at by chance in a primordial organic
soup here on the Earth is evidently nonsense of a high order.”__Fred Hoyle

“Once we see, however, that the probability of life originating at random is so
utterly miniscule as to make it absurd, it becomes sensible to think that the
favorable properties of physics on which life depends are in every respect
deliberate ... . It is therefore almost inevitable that our own measure of
intelligence must reflect ... higher intelligences ... even to the limit of
God ... such a theory is so obvious that one wonders why it is not
widely accepted as being self-evident. The reasons are psychological
rather than scientific.”___ Fred Hoyle

“A junkyard contains all the bits and pieces of a Boeing 747, dismembered
and in disarray. A whirlwind happens to blow through the yard. What is the
chance that after its passage a fully assembled 747, ready to fly, will be
found standing there? So small as to be negligible, even if a tornado were
to blow through enough junkyards to fill the whole Universe.”___Fred Hoyle

“It isn't the Universe that's following our logic, it's we that are constructed in
accordance with the logic of the Universe. And that gives what I might call
a definition of intelligent life: something that reflects the basic structure of
the Universe.”___Fred Hoyle

Some Intelligent Design Quotes From An Atheist: Fred Hoyle.

"Would you not say to yourself, "Some super-calculating intellect must have
designed the properties of the carbon atom, otherwise the chance of my
finding such an atom through the blind forces of nature would be utterly
minuscule. A common sense interpretation of the facts suggests that a
super-intellect has monkeyed with physics
, as well as with chemistry and
biology, and that there are no blind forces worth speaking about in nature.
The numbers one calculates from the facts seem to me so overwhelming
as to put this conclusion almost beyond question." — Fred Hoyle[19]

So much for the pervasive lie that anyone who does not buy into Darwin's archaic tautology is a "creationist" and "Bible thumper".

I added these quotes by atheist Fred Hoyle to A>B>C>D is not science, it is unintelligent
Thank you very much.

Life could have very well originated elsewhere and been planted here by chance or choice but it does not rule out that the forms of all living things have been shaped by eons of natural selection.

I think Fred's point was that it would NOT build one.
So I'd say No to your question.

Thanks for the /smile.

No problem but it was thought provoking, the wind would have to build the plane the people in all...

Yah twas thought provoking.
Say you've been here a long time.
Soon have 60,000 posts.
That's James Dean in your avatar -- that brings back old movie memories.

Um, yes it does rule out "natural selection"

You might have noticed that all those overblown quotes were concerned with life at the cellular level. We really do not know how the first cell occurred but we know what happened next. Natural selection is settled science because artificial selection made a wolf into a wiener dog in only a few hundred years.

Your insistence on Darwin's Archaic Tautology is as misguided and wrong-headed as your vulgar avatar. As you have nothing worthwhile to contribute, you are consigned to my Ignore List for cause.

No one doubts the 747 is a product of intelligent design. We know exactly how it came to exist and there was nothing supernatural involved. If you claim life was the result of intelligent design, the only way I can see it happening is through some supernatural event. In my life I have never observed a supernatural event so why should I believe they exist(ed)?

Regarding belief in the supernatural . . .

My view is there is no scientific evidence demonstrating the
existence of God that rises to the certainty-level of 2 + 2 = 4.
Christianity is a faith -- not an intellectual system.

However . . .

There ARE a lot of evidences for the existence of God,
and for the truth of Intelligent Design, but they are in
the category of Probability and Plausibility and NOT in
the area of 2 + 2 = 4 certainty.

And Probability and Plausibility are very subjective -- which
means they are saturated with our human biases, prejudices,
and presuppositions. This is NOT to say that these arguments
are not worth presenting. They are worth presenting.

Those more qualified . . .

However there are many Christians that can and do present
many secular type arguments for the truth of Christianity and
for the reality of an Intelligent Designer. I think doing this is
a very good thing to do --- my problem is that I am not
qualified to present arguments like that --- so I don't.

I let others who are qualified present what we can call
"secular" arguments.

I posted the Fred Hoyle quotes as "food for thought"
for any interested parties.

Yes, we also quote astronomer Fred Hoyle and Chandra Wickramasinghe - for example from their book "Evolution from Space":

"The recent explosive increase of knowledge has only served to magnify the gulf between nonliving and living things. Even the oldest known single-celled organisms have been found to be incomprehensibly complex. “The problem for biology is to reach a simple beginning,” say astronomers Fred Hoyle and Chandra Wickramasinghe. “Fossil residues of ancient life-forms discovered in the rocks do not reveal a simple beginning. . . . so the evolutionary theory lacks a proper foundation.”5 And as information increases, the harder it becomes to explain how microscopic forms of life that are so incredibly complex could have arisen by chance."
