I got interrupted on that last post. I don't know any in my area that makes that kinda money but I am not close to national parks. All the ones I know are ODNR. State workers in my area don't earn very well. Unless you are state attorney, judge or ODOT deputy director or better.

They also in many cases get free homes in the park to live in and a Truck to drive with a gas card...

ODNR starting salary is 18.50 an hour but jumps to 20 after their probation period. If I am not on a paying hunting trip what we call a fun trip, my hunting party normally consist of Ottawa county game warden and two rangers. I do some goose field hunts with Crawford county game warden. The last one I went to was the best field hunt I ever went to. 20 hunters. Limited in an hour and a half. That's 100 geese in an hour and a half. Talk about some hill Billy's with smiles on their faces. That was a really good day. I love those field hunts he puts on. When he is there I am not the oldest guy there. Most the guys I hunt with are in their 20s. They like to tease me about my age.

They have value in my life and for millions of Americans who participate in hunting, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, and all the other glorious and healthy things you do out side.

Park service is one of the few jobs a WHITE person can get with the government today because "aint no nxggah want to chase no grizzly bear" ( response from a black female friend ).
