In the early 1800's, fire departments were on the free enterprise system, which meant that whichever fire department got there first, got paid for the job of putting out the fire. This was abandoned when it became obvious that fire departments were starting their own fires in their own neighborhoods in order to get paid.

Bush for his moderate conservative statesmanlike demeanor, his stand on supply side/voodoo economics and I figure his foreign policy would follow along Reagan's and I was right, with him believing in allied coalitions in war, his conduct of the war, and his strength to resist mission creep in prosecution of the war, Senator Fred Thompson and Representative Ed Bryant (whom you will remember from the Clinton prosecution teams) both moderate conservatives from Tennessee and I knew attorney Briant though repeated business dealing with him and his lovely wife during during several of their personal home buildings. I like moderate conservatives that are fiscally conservative, statesmanlike communicators with at least a modicum of Integrity. At the moment there aren't any in Washington, and certainly none in the White House. I am as conservative as I need to be, but certainly not a tramp stamp on the ass of either party. Both parties suck.
