Social Security Says It Will Stop Accepting Bank Changes Over the Phone

They want to reduce fraud. They didn't lie to me.

Is this new requirement going to stop your payments?
As I have already clarified I do not get SS.

They have yet to prove there is fraud in any amount, much less the huge figures they are pulling outta their collective asses.

Do you have any evidence that it is?
Yes, because they are in fact closing offices and laying off people. They don't need 3 or 4 field offices in one town anymore, especially when so much is automated and done on secure websites.

It's really common sense.

I did read it.

You ready to stand in line?
No, like the vast majority of Americans, I have access to the internet and can do it on line....literally on my phone.

So why would I stand in line?

Prove me wrong, you didn't.
I proved your link didn't say what you said it did in your thread title... you are getting sloppy and desperate and your dishonesty is on display....

That is not evidence.
Of course it is, if they need more people and more space they'd be hiring them and building more offices.

It's also common sense, the vast majority of the people have access to the internet and can do it all on line. In fact, as of 2024, 97.1 percent of the population in the USA has access. There is far less need for numerous offices in town, or people dealing with customers at those offices.

This is common sense, it's call being effective, efficient, and responsbible with tax payer resources and dollars. Dembots like yourself, clearly aren't open to innovation, and certainly not caretakers of tax payers dollars. You all sound like the old Soviet, wondering how they are going to eat because the bread lines are closed down.

It's sad really

I’m for adequately staffing social security to provide senior citizens the help they need instead of closing offices and laying off workers.
You are for nothing that might hamper you illicit receipts

what's truly funny is you believe that someone is that old instead of the fraud it exposed. But hey, you're a fkwad demofk.
It’s been explained many times that the “150 year olds” on social security are simply among the first receivers when the program started.

it’s simply record keeping of people, long dead, who once received SS benefits. It’s not a list of people receiving benefits currently.

As I have already clarified I do not get SS.

They have yet to prove there is fraud in any amount, much less the huge figures they are pulling outta their collective asses.

Is this new policy going to stop any legitimate payments?

Is this new policy going to reduce fraudulent payments?

Old people order like 5K checks at once like they think they will ever need them. They aren't the ones for whom this is going to be an issue.
