..so AUS vs NOR they played an hour and a half with only 2 goals-- game tied
now they are playing 30 more minutes game still tied
!!!!!
this is STUPID
why don't they play ANOTHER 90 minutes??!!
they should do like NHL and take 2 or 3 players off each team for OT

I don't follow soccer, but I seem to recall a penalty kick off to resolve ties.
....I was just about to comment on that..P kicks are a ridiculous way to choose a winner IMO

....I thought sometime ago the France-Germany final was the same --90 minutes with only 2 goals--then no scoring in OT
....they need to make the scoring easier
...no scoring/not much scoring--etc etc etc ===???

Why does their clock run backwards?

They should take the goalies off the field and play best of 3 scores. First team to get 2 points wins.

I believe it would have something to do with endurance. In high level soccer, you’re allowed 3 substitutes; that’s it. Usually, one is reserved by smart coaches for injuries because if you’ve subbed 3 times and then you have an injury…you play with 10 players.

Usually (not sure about WWC) there are two 30 minute periods followed by PK’s if memory serves.

The idea of taking 2 or 3 players off is, well, dumb.

think before you babble--soccer is not a high scoring sport
2 hours and just 2 goals in this last game when the teams are fairly matched
let's play ANOTHER 90 minutes !!!

If they can’t score in the first 90 minutes
Why continue the same thing?

I say, remove two players from the field every five minutes

You’d actually ensure less scoring since lateral ball movement is what causes openings that talented players exploit
