So, you like McDonalds fries do you?

Fries made in seed oil taste like chit.
Lard fried French fries are the best

I love McDonald Fries. At almost 72 and in great shape and great general health, I get to eat things like McDonald Fries, just becuase they taste great, not having to care what is in them, as it has not killed me yet, I get to enjoy what I enjoy. I like them best in Medium Size, fresh, hot, with extra salt, as part of Fish Sandwich Meal. The large size does have time to cool before finishing. Cold, they are like little shoestrings of cardboard, but hot out of the cooker, they are Great!:D
.

Reminds me of what Keith Richards said, and I paraphrase, "Nothing wrong with heroin addiction. It hasn't killed me yet".

That old Rock Dog legend from Kent is 82 and been active in music with it's high speed lifestyle and sometime torturous touring schedules since 1960. The man knows and I hope he still enjoys. He deserves it.

I haven't either. However, I worked for them in 1967 and the claim about the fries was not true then. I had to peel, cut and wash 200 lbs of potatoes every day. There were no frozen fries at that location. The only fast food outlet that I know of today that does fresh potatoes is In n' Out.

Five Guys still use fresh potatoes

Just remember, when you eat McDonalds, you are eating some of THE most deadly toxins man has ever produced.
Not just in the fries, but in the so-called "meat" and "cheese" they pawn off as real food!!!

Only ever visited the store outside and opposite Kiev main railway station -- top toilet facilities .
But would not eat anything even if paid to do so .

With Coke it is probably the reason why you never win a conflict -- brain and tummy poisoned .

Morgan Spurlock lied. He was battling alcohol abuse the entire time, which he lied about in his initial doctor's visit shown in the 'fictional documentary.'

But in the years that followed the doc’s release, viewers began to poke holes in Spurlock’s health outcomes after the 30-day experiment, as McDonald’s scurried to fix the resulting PR problem. A Swedish university conducted the same experiment in 2006, where healthy medical students in their twenties ate nothing but McDonald’s and limited exercise—but found that their outcomes were nowhere near as dangerous as Spurlock’s. At one point in the doc, Spurlock’s doctor tells him he’s “pickling” his liver, which he said resembled an “alcoholic’s after a binge.”

As it would turn out, the doctor was likely right, but that liver damage probably wasn’t just because Spurlock had been eating McDonald’s for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Over a decade later, Spurlock stunningly admitted he’d struggled with alcoholism since he was 13 years old.
That doesn't explain the 30 day spike in his "unhealthy" blood levels after going on an all McDonald's diet.

My opinion is that the mass poisoning began in 1969-1970. That's when I began to notice changes in the taste of the food. Dr.Pepper went from being a memorable and rare treat from childhood to brown liquid that tasted like glue.

.
My wife liked Dr. Pepper as well, but she quit the brand somewhere about the same time. I wonder if she unknowingly felt the same way. I'll have to ask her.

My first job as a teen was at Mcdonalds, back in the 80s.

Well, actually I had a grass cutting gig before that but that don't count.

Anyway, as I recall, the fries were very good back then. They tasted good anyway.

These days not so much.

Only fries I like any more are boardwalk fries. They're always a tasty snack.

I've given up on most fast food. Overpriced junk. We patronize a local deli sandwich shop which I love. This ain't your chain sandwich shop. Great meats, veggies and cheeses. Fresh, in house made, bread every morning. The owners paper the walls with inspirational statements aimed at the local high school teams with ever-changing photos of the athletes. Great place.

Thanks to this breaking news, we can now all take due caution with the ingestion of fast foods. And I use the word “food” very guardedly.

Their fries used to be pretty good, but then they changed something....maybe the type of oil they were cooked in??? But they are not that good anymore. Doesn't matter and I don't miss them cause I don't do fast food if I can help it

Interesting. I recently tried some Mountain Dew. I remember when Mountain Dew came out, it was a bright yellow energy drink with a distinctive flavor kick that gave you a caffeine buzz. Now it looks and tastes like Sprite or Lemon/Lime soda, not yellow, the taste is different and it isn't even particular good anymore and the kick is gone.

One of my first jobs was at McDonald's, and the fries when I worked there were so much better than today. The texture, oil, and taste were all better.

Something changed.

Coke and Pepsi changed their original recipes back in the 80s. They changed from the actual natural flavorings to artificial ones to "save money" so they claim.

Dr Pepper held out the longest. Although they changed from cane sugar to fructose syrup in the 70s, they held out the longest changing their natural flavors for artificial ones till the 90s. Although Dr Pepper claims to have ONLY substituted the few natural flavorings for artificial ones that would have caused the price to be raised to drastically if they had kept them in the recipe.

If I remember correctly, Dr Pepper DID ask their DP fans if they would consider paying a higher price for keeping the original formula. The consensus was NO.......so DP opted to use the artificial alternatives.

It did change the flavor, but ONLY a DP fanatic would have noticed the difference. As I noticed that the New Coke scam was to underhandedly switch the original Coke formula for the artificial one back in the 80s. Apparently original Coke fanatics didn't notice the differnce when New Coke was stopped and switched for the "new Coke Classic". But I certainly did. It was a HUGE difference. More noticable than the new DP formula for sure.

As far as McDonalds food changing from real to fake or lab grown................this also happened in the 80s and 90s.

I stopped eating McDs then, even though I'm more of a Burger King and Jack In The Box fan. I did like McDs fish sandwiches a lot.
But after private investigators finding "other meat sources" and "fake meat additives" in McDs burgers.............I stopped altogether.
