So Trumps flip flopping on Ukraine funding already

The Trump supporters cheered as Trump says he's going to end the war before taking office. Since that didn't come, they cheered when he said it would be shortly after taking office. Since that didn't happen.........
Trump supporters cheered Trump when he said we'd stop funding the war.

Apparently that's not going to happen either.

From the link above: "It comes after Zelensky angered Trump so much during negotiations that the president threatened to completely pull US funding from Ukraine, Axios reported. "

Trump threatened to pull funding. Wait, he's already promised us that he was going to stop funding that war. Didn't he? Or did he just let everyone who voted for him, believe it.
What a dunce the OP is.

How do you negotiate with Russia if Ukraine has already lost... which is the consequence of the US pulling all funding?

This is actually a brilliant move.

Get your head out of your ass, stupid OP.

Not if Europe steps up to the plate!

I know they don’t play baseball, but what would be the better analogy? I don’t know, take the free kick? Sticky the wicket?

Step onto the pitch.

Europe should at least go through the credible motions...but now that Trump has a commitment from Zelensky on mineral rights...that changes the calculus.

It's now entirely possible that Trump could back Ukraine. The Russians need to believe that to cancel their leverage at the negotiating table.

Without that commitment Russia could be content to just wait it out.

It was a good move.

Do we take half of their minerals?

No. We take enough to pay ourselves back plus interest and whatever the company that actually does the mining needs to recoup their investment and secure a reasonable profit. Then leverage our remaining share for decent prices and a long term commitment to the firm doing the mining.

Everybody wins.

Thanks, I'll remember that.

I believe it was always the plan for Trump to broker a reasonable deal. I dont' say "fair deal," because what would that be other than the Ruskies saying "Sorry, we're leaving Ukraine now, and we will pay reparations?"

That ain't gonna happen, but if we want the killing to stop, there has to be some kind of compromise. Yes, Trump taking a stake in Ukraine's minarals for the U.S. means that the Ruskies know we have a reason to back Ukraine to prevent a full-on occupation. That established, there is no need for Ukraine to join NATO.

DemWars are coming to a close and Dems are whining that just because THEY MADE THEM in the first place they're not ending fast enough. The Dems want the US and its allies to LOSE like THE DEMS did in Afghanistan. They're JEALOUS of Trump's potential success and it sure looks like Trump's on a "fix-it" splurge. FANTASTIC POTENTIAL!!!

And Zelensky must be over the moon at the prospect of having their mineral wealth exploited but "NOT RUSSIA" but by the yanks and with benefits going to Ukraine at a reasonable rate. It's Lend Lease on Steroids; LOVE IT!!

"Play up! play up! and play the game!"

From Vitai Lampada:

There's a breathless hush in the Close to-night—
Ten to make and the match to win—
A bumping pitch and a blinding light,
An hour to play and the last man in.
And it's not for the sake of a ribboned coat,
Or the selfish hope of a season's fame,
But his captain's hand on his shoulder smote
"Play up! play up! and play the game!"

Lefties need to pretend to not understands ANYTHING, about how negotiations actually work, in order to,..sort of defend their position.

ANY admission of reality, and their stated position on Ukraine is revealed to be absolute retardedness.

Russia is still at war with Ukraine. So they haven't won anything.

You'll have your nose rubbed in Biden until the ship that he did his best to sink has been righted. I would think you would support that effort and stop the denial.

Biden was a baffoon. Worst president in history. And according the NewMax, Trump is the 3rd worst president.
But the thing is, Biden isn't president now.

Conservatives always lose to you RINO's.. There's like 20 actual conservatives in congress, who have to fight over 500 RINO's and democrats.

And what's worse, you retarded RINO's will defend RINO's, when conservatism is what you're really wanting.
You’ve got me confused brother…I’m for pushing the RINOs out.
Because I don't give a rats ass about the democrats or Biden. They're going to do what the left always does. Which ain't nothing good for the country.
What I do care about is the GOP, who claim to be the small government party that supports balanced budgets, actually doing what they're elected to do. Because the GOP is the ONLY party that could stand up to the left. They could balance the budget. They could pay down the debt and deficit. They could stop all the waste, fraud and abuse.
But in all your research, you didn't bother to discover the fact that the GOP, since Reagan, have spent more money and increased the debt ceiling more than the democrats. The very opposite of what Republican voters elect them to do. Instead, you're worried about how many times I've bashed the left.
I’m aware of that, and it must stop…As far as balancing the budget, what is it you think he’s working toward? What’s your plan? Other than *****, it’s not fast enough, and he’s been in like 30 seconds….you think this can be done instantly, if so, you’re delusional
Trump was elected both times to do what it seems like he's doing now with DOGE. The first time, he failed miserably and still got another chance.
Why do you think he failed? Largely he was fighting dems, republicans, and media…This time around he’s got his own people…this will be done.
And it started out looking like he was serious. But then he started showing his true colors by threatening to primary Chip Roy, because Roy wanted more spending cuts.
Trump stated he liked small, more transparent bills that contained a lot less spending. Now he's wanting "one big beautiful bill, with everything in it." Now he's talking about continuing to fund Ukraine.

He's starting to crawfish on the very things that got him elected. But you still think he's some sort of conservative superman. Totally ignoring the tale tell signs of a con artist. The same exact signs you people ignore the first time, that put us $8 trillion deeper in debt, and devalued the USD another 16%.
All I can tell you is that’s not what he’s doing.

15th post
Trump has no plans or ideas. He just says what he thinks people want to hear. Trump can’t pull funding only Congress can do that.
Have you been watching DOGE? Someone needs to read the Constitution to tye repub congress?

Trump has been a political figure for a decade, and you still don't understand him? ;)

so, betraying our Allie’s
You are more concerned about betraying our "allies," who just love us when we are kissing their asses, than you are about betraying the American citizen. Interesting.

and sucking up to Putin is your thing.
So, not condemning Putin and trying to reach an agreement to save millions of lives and billions of dollars is "sucking up to" Putin. What do you call what you do to Xi Jinping?
