The slowing number of cases, even with the massive increase in testing, seems to show that a "peak" is forming in the next week, and active cases will be heading down by Easter. The US has a very slow recovery number, or they aren't being reported properly. As the people recover the number of active cases will drop even faster.

Trump may want states to re-open, but its really the governor's call. Let's hope that they find an effective medication sooner rather than later. COVID-19 is a "viral pneumonia" not really a flu.

Economic activity will only come back when we can stop isolating and start going back to being in the same place. That time frame is not determined by money or wishes but by the nature of the virus and the compliance of the populace.

The stimulus is less a stimulus and more an emergency fund. Money to get people by until that time comes.

What industries has the government taken over. We have businesses voluntarily changing their production to what the medical needs are at this time. The government isn’t making everyone equal, it is putting money in the economy that businesses are going to have to payback. It is an economic stimulus package that will help keep businesses and people afloat. It’s government protecting people, which is what the government has always done.
