So much for discussion of the GOAT

he isn't even 30 yrs old .. he will win several more SBs .. will he get 7 ? be a tough feat ..
One of the most skilled QBs I have ever seen

I think SBs will depend on how long Andy Reid sticks around

I really didn't pay much attention in the 4th. I wonder if the Eagles backed off just a little because they knew they probably had it in hand. Players don't want to get hurt at the end of a game. Now if they had a shutout going, then I could see them playing hard to preserve that.

I'm not saying Eagles' players made a conscious effort to slack off on defense, but maybe a player is just slightly more careful about the way he tackles or something like that.
By the end of the Third, Eagles were up 34-0 and were already celebrating on the sidelines. Backup players were inserted in the game and they were only concerned with keeping the clock running.

Mahomes scored in Garbage Time

In Mahomes two SB losses, he has been outscored by 40 points, has 8 sacks, 5 turnovers :omg: , and 0 TD's.

Yea, we can shelve the whole GOAT narrative, because you can't outrun those numbers (pun intended)

I don’t care if Mahomes somehow wins five more Superbowls to pass Brady.

In ten Superbowls, Brady never put up a stinker like Mahomes did last night. Up through three quarters, Mahomes did not pass midfield, threw two interceptions that led to scores and a strip sack. Maybe the worst performance ever.

I don’t care what he did in garbage time in the fourth quarter while Philly was already celebrating on the sideline.

Mahomes stunk
Even if he stopped playing today, he's in the HOF. And I don't think he has lost it. I think his offensive line got creamed by Philly's D line. 4 guys. Philly didn't even have to blitz. 4 guys put pressure on him. Why didn't he use his legs? It didn't matter. Philly was going to win that game.

Do you still love Rocky? He lost the Eye of the Tiger. So did the Chiefs. The hunger. The drive. The NEED to win. This is why no team has ever won 3 in a row. Plus injuries, guys get older, other teams get better.

Do you think this is KC's last superbowl? It could be. That's why he's not going to catch Brady. He needs to win A LOT to catch Brady.

And even if he catches him, Brady owned him. In Tampa Bay, old Brady beat young Mahomes in his prime. He beat him a couple years earlier too but I'll give Patrick a pass on that one. He was too young then. But what about 2 years later?

It’s a team game. If your O line can’t protect the QB, you’re not going to win.

Eagles deserve credit. The D played great and the offense was pretty good too.
KC contained Barkley. 57 rushing yards.

I have said for decades, any QB is only as good as his O-line. Especially Statue QB like Marino or Brady. A running QB usually has a fighting chance or the coach can change things up (moving pocket or shovel pass or something, see Tom Landry).

No getting around it, Kelce is too slow and finished (you could see it in the playoff games too, don't give me stats).
Mahomes had a terrible game. He appeared indecisive and lost on what to do. He also has looked slow this season.
KC coaching was not able to come up with anything on offense. Some of this debacle is on them.
Hurts saw a hole and took off fast. No 300lb lineman was going to get him.

Yes, it was a bad game to watch overall. I don't think Mahomes is done but he may have to become more a statue type QB.

The only QB's to score more than 35 points in multiple Super Bowls: Montana and Hurts.

The only QB's to win a college national championship and a Super Bowl: Namath, Montana, Hurts.

It would have been a horrible game if KC did to Philly what Philly did to KC. I bet a lot of people continued to watch and be nervous even with only 8 minutes left. And we stayed around when it was for sure over just to watch and see if it would get any worse. To see Taylor Swifts sad face.

A lot of people stayed up to watch KC lose. We, I mean they enjoyed seeing that.

How happy was Tom Brady? He won't say it though. He told Patrick he wanted to see him 3peat. No he didn't. LOL.

They certainly did, but still got their asses beat.
And he only needed 31 to break the record

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley needed only 31 first-half rushing yards in Sunday's Super Bowl to make history, as he broke the all-time NFL record for most rushing yards in a regular season plus playoffs.

I had four bets rigged together (parlays on points scored and spread). I bet both teams within +3.5pts and +7.5pts spread bets expecting a close game. WOW! wrong much?

Lucky the Chiefs got 22pts over my 19.5pts points scored by each team, to hit one of 4 bets total. Lost another $40 on $5 squares at work. I had 3rd quarter payout till Chiefs decide to go for 2? lol!

Although Hurts got benched at ALA for Tula? Was that the championship game? But he got them there.

In 1978, Joe Montana led the Irish to a stunning 38-10 upset of top-ranked Texas, a win that vaulted Notre Dame from fifth in the regular-season rankings to the national championship.

Where were KC screens, shovel passes, moving pocket? Seems like they started passing right away and were surprised they could not pass? No running, no end around.....nothing. They appeared desperate in the 1st qtr after pick 6? or pick 6s' I forget.

Sad but true. Some were saying he got a concussion early in the game. I dunno. They sure weren't the usual Chiefs.

Maybe the script writers gave them the bad news just before the game.

I could be wrong. I couldn’t find the article
Reid is 66
Not much more in the tank. Maybe 4 more years?

I think Travis Kielce is done though

I noticed Mahomes was sure to get Kelce at least 3 receptions to break Rice's record of 44 playoff receptions, now Kelce has the record.
