Here's the thing.

If Trump is removed from office, through either impeachment or the 25th Amendment, newly minted President Pence will pardon him for the same reason that Ford Pardoned Nixon... to get this story off our front pages.

Probably why we need to amend the constitution to modify the pardon or get rid of it entirely.

The only question is do Republicans make like the Democrats in 1998 and ignore clear evidence of crimes to protect their guy, or do they convince him to step down like Republicans did with Nixon in 1974.

Ignorance is believing that Trump has no legal exposure over these fraudulent payments. Everyone else involved in those payments have flipped and spilled. The two felony counts hanging over Trump already exceeds the standard used to impeach Clinton. There will be more to come.
