I'm wondering about context here. Because it is true, DEI did demoralize competent white men. Not only white men, but the liberal left has been attacking white people and making them feel they are naturally and systemic racists. And, that blacks cannot be racists at the same time. The first sentence sounds bad but what is the context and who was he texting with and the topic? With that said, Marco Rubio is a Cuban American, Hispanic. Not white and is the one who hired Beattie.

How is that anymore racist or sexist when Dems say they need to have “people of color” in positions of power?

I would just say there needs to be competent men in general that need to be in charge. There are definitely Asian, Latino, and black men that can do great at important jobs. But to force white men out as DEI did is suicide.

No, I don't run with it, but yes others do and affirmative action policies are a big reason for that, which is why I've always opposed them. When people know that racial preferences are being used it stirs those types of conclusions and stereotypes and undermines people who legitimately worked hard and deserved those opportunities.
