SNAP benefits about to be cut off -- and she don't like it

Ok, how much do you suggest employers be required to pay people so that they can survive as well as when on welfare?
employers should pay what the job can support,,

if its not enough for someone they need to find a different job that can,,

Welfare is intended to be a TEMPORARY stop gap until those receiving it are back on their feet---NOT long term survival. Personally, I'm a believer in 'you don't work, you don't eat.' I'm sure your retort will be bbbbbut, what about---. IDGAF. Get a job.

Ok, how much do you suggest employers be required to pay people so that they can survive at least as well as they can on welfare?

What about in poor and depressed areas of the country where decent paying jobs are nonexistent?
Move. LOL, 'decent' paying? You get paid according to your value to the employer. Build your skills and the pay will be commensurate. No skills? Mow lawns, pick vegetables, work at a dairy, pick fruit, wash windows, clean houses, pick up cans and bottles on the sides of roads and sell them for the deposit. The country doesn't owe you a living.

Federal minimum wage is $7.25/hour. If you want more than that, make yourself more valuable by improving your skills. As for welfare, WTF should we have it at all. Charity has always been taken care of by the private sector. There is nowhere in the constitution that says the government has to support you. Do you think the people who settled this country got minimum wage or welfare?

And if those jobs are nonexistent or if you are already working several jobs that fail to make ends meet then welfare is the only option right?
not the employers job to work around your lifestyle or personal needs,,

if the job can only support 10 bucks an hr and that wont support your needs thats your problem not an employer,,

SNAP benefits are about to run out. And she don't like it.
Reparations! Reparations!

Don't try to stand in her way, her cousin will mess you up. She is getting her stuff.

If there are food riots this will be 100% on the Democrats for refusing to compromise.

It's going to be interesting!

I'm confused. Is this supposed to look good for your party? :dunno:

Find a room mate, lower your standard of living, eat bargain cuts instead of filet.
You are a victim of a common misperception about poverty.
How do you think people did it before welfare?
We lived in an economy that made it possible. Now in this late stage collapse of our capitalistic system it is no longer possible.
Continually waxing nostalgic about some imagined "good old days" isn't helpful.
If you want to point the finger of blame for how our economy got so fucked up you need to start with the Reagan years.

So in that case it makes more sense to just go on welfare right? You know...if working doesn't pay the bills.
