SNAP bans on soda, candy and other foods take effect in five states Jan. 1- Thanks RFK!

That's the truth about any renters, really. They have no stake in the property values. I was a landlord from 1987-2000 and again from 2022 to 2023

If something breaks, they call me to fix it, because that's my job. if these rental properties are declining under Section 8, it's because the landlords are shitty.

In fact, the Section 8 Program requires inspects before a property can be put on Section 8 eligibility. It's why some slumlords don't even bother.
I would never own Rental properties. For that very reason...In the end people that don't own something don't care about your shit....No real profit in it.
Well, first, I only have your word for it, which is dubious at best.
Hey look, I don't give a shit what you want to believe or not. Plugging your ears, and closing your eyes in favor of your own delusion seems to be how you go through life Joe.
Secondly, it's the landlord's responsibility to maintain the property.
Ok, got it...you think it's fine to trash brand new facilities to live, just cuz you have some landlord to call and fix it....Pathetic.
Why would they do that?

"eek, I saw a scary brown person" might be how you operate, but not most service people.
Oh STFU...Reality is something that eludes you in favor of political bull shit.
I agree. Too many working white poor vote for Republicans who don't give a shit about them. They play on their racial, religious, and sexual fears.
And what the hell have the Democrats done for them, other than promise the universe, and deliver the bag of dog shit on the porch?
"Hey, what happened to the Middle Class union jobs my grandpa had?"
The Unions got into bed with Democrat politicians and stole all the pension money and screwed the workers....
"Never mind that, there's a a Goddless Mexican Tranny trying to pee in your bathroom!!!"
 Your faux concern for either Mexicans, or Trannies is laughable....You only care what you think is a bomb you can throw politically...IOW, a hack.

Another one squeals.

Actually, my experience, I would say was mostly positive. I had four renters over those 14 years. Only one of them was really that bad. (Didn't pay rent reliably, but they didn't trash the place.)

Being a good landlord is being a good judge of character and doing your research. Just don't expect the tenant to do your job for you.

Well, you made a claim and did nothing to back it up. That's the point. Who built these houses? Did they build them intentionally for Section 8? Did they just give up as landlords once they reached occupancy?

Ok, got it...you think it's fine to trash brand new facilities to live, just cuz you have some landlord to call and fix it....Pathetic.

Again, that's why you have lease agreements. You know things will break, you know maintenance is required. I mean, come on, you expect the tenants to have taken care of the lawn?

Concession duly noted. You aren't very good at this.

What have Democrats done? Well, they created the Middle Class the GOP has spent the last 40 years trying to destroy.

They did? Funny thing, my idiot brother just retired from his Union job at 62. His pension was fine. He still voted for Trump, because he's kind of a racist twit, but that's on him.

Naw, I just see who the enemy is, and it isn't a Mexican or a Tranny, who is usually in the same boat the rest of us are in, trying to get by and pay the bills.

So, tell us, how's it feel to have NO power?

I remember an interview with a man who had been living a life of crime. When asked why he made that choice, his answer was, "I was tired of eating cheap ramen."

The cheapest healthy meal would be split pea soup, assuming you can afford a carrot, an onion and celery to put into it...

No I'm not. My wife and daughter are.

Thanks by the way for confirming my cruel xenophobe assertion.

Since you find the post worthy of laughing your ass off.

I personally don't think people denied entry for their opinions, or because a perverse fixation on transgenders as some kind of boogyman is all that funny. But then again I have decency.
Democrats fired, debanked and jailed people for their opinions. Were you fearful then?

Alternatively, he could have just gotten a job

That’s one thing I liked Michelle Obama for. And one thing that her and RFK Junior both agree on. But I’m a centrist in these cases. But there are left-wingers who hate RFK Junior and they won’t even applaud him when he wants healthier options for poor people.
Democrats want to tax soda because it’s bad for you but not restrict it on SNAP. Such hypocrites.

Jackson has already made a similar point, namely that you can buy both cheap and healthy food in the US. With the caveat that it would make for a very narrow and dare I say spartan diet. Somehing I pointed out would end up being a choice between something akin to prison ration and tasty, or at least satisfying, but unhealthy food choices.

Not a bargain that I'd trust most people would strike correctly.
Not really if you know where and when to shop. People not on government assistance do it everyday out of necessity.

.

Junk food is easy to make with ingredients that all can easily buy on SNAP, if one will get off their lazy behind.

.
Exactly what my wife and I were thinking yesterday when we read this. LOL, lucky I wasn't making the rules. There would be NO prepared foods allowed. Only staples and a good, old fashioned, from scratch cookbook issued when they signed up if I were in charge.

The specific point I made was that in today’s modern age of Internet it’s actually quite easy to research cheap and healthy recipes. That includes tasty food.
Grocery stores put them on their app. Right next to the weekly ads, digital coupons and rewards foods.

15th post
And what do you figure your out of pocket is for supplying junk food to SNAP people?

healthy foods are not more expensive in the USA,,

I can eat for far longer on them than any processed food that burns out of my system quicker than the real food,,
Yep. A bag of oats, beans, rice, carrots, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, banana’s are all healthy and some of the cheapest items in the grocery store. Add meat that is on sale for the week. Makes several meals. Lefties just like to make excuses.
