When one can afford the food they eat, the roof over their head, the clothes on their back and their life in general, then they get cookies if there is any money left over for that. It's called success, and an example of reaping the benefits of leading a productive life. That's something a lot of people are not allowed to learn that it is even possible.

Home baked Christmas cookies are another story though, because a lot of times people will just give you those Christmas cookies, and no SNAP benefits or taxpayer dollars are required. Spreading the joy, it isn't free, because someone paid for and made the cookies.

I think this country is suffering from a health crisis that is primarily because of choices we make. If you actually cared about their health, it doesn’t really matter whose money they’re using to buy poor quality food.

The problem isn’t SNAP benefits, but people making the wrong choices that lead to bad health consequences, which is true regardless of whether you’re rich or poor.

Some of the best researchers in the area of behavior and food choice worked at the NIH until RFK Jr came into power and starting censoring their work.

No, that’s not I…..because my parents instilled the importance of self-sufficiency in me, beginning at an early age. By age 13, I was earning my own money to pay for movie tickets, ice cream at Farrell’s, and all the extras. That is why I grew up to a responsible, and successful, adult.

And where did MY parents learn that from? From my grandparents, who despite their poverty, taught them that one supported themselves, no matter how modestly. (That meant tenement housing and watered-down chicken soup.) As a result, my parents were incentivized to prepare for careers and earn a nice living.

And you libs are screaming because we won’t buy welfare people a candy bar?!
