Smallville seasons one through four the best.

Pete is a side kick. It is Chloe that irks me.
Plus Pete really had nothing to do,he was there but he wasnt there, just there. If you blinked you missed him. totally agree on your point on chloe.
the show would have been MUCH more enjoyable without her presence.

We all know Chloe wasn’t Clark’s type. Her constant snooping into personal lives including Clark’s...well, you know she would have ended up being a 40yr old HOA Karen.

She was criminally intrusive. At this point the writers went too far in trying to convince us she would someday be a phenomenal reporter. I certainly didn’t buy it.

Ram,

I tried the Hulu sign up and it knows I got the two free Hulu offers or something. It only allows me to sign in and won’t recognize my emails. I’ll keep trying.

Anyway, I ll pay for the first two hulk videos this week.

Ok I am in. Went through Disney. As for hulk, Hulu offers the 2008 movie only. Prime has episode 2 and I bought it but the pilot has lost the rights. Frustrating. Let me know where I left off on smallville. Back tomorrow at 8 pm.

I believe so in Prime for pay. So would the movie clue me in?

S3 e1

The opening set is blue tinged and luminescent. Blue hues are widely used in many science fiction movies and go back as far as art like “The great wave of kanagawa” to evoke mood. The depth of blue color can go from evoking tranquility as in the “Abyss” to dark and cold as it is here. It was written into this episode to signify something is outside his reality, and hinting at surreal, perhaps supernatural powers going rogue. We are given a glimpse that the warmth of his homeland and clothing are now in the unknown depths of depravity. His clothes are black which signifies a level of coolness or a dark character that is about to arise.

Clark has gone to the dark side with worldly desires. Money, popularity, anonymity, and boy toys are all the things Lex had. You wonder if clark was secretly jealous or just wants to be what all normal boys aspire to be.

He also breaks laws which go against his nature. Notice how the blue is in the cash machines he breaks into. The blue follows him to buy the hot car and even to the bar. He has broken off all restraint and this is his dark cold world now.

Oh I saw it. He is wearing the ring. ( for newbies: the ring removes all inhibitions)

Meanwhile, life back home in Smallville is drenched in warm sun kissed colors.
The sharp contrast is what Clark is torn between.

We find that Lex is alive wrestling with his consciousness. We wonder who tried to kill Lex, his father or wife.

The conclusion leaves us with powers given to John, his father, to find Clark and save him for the greater cause. Clark’s alien father knows it is the right thing to do.

He looks so handsome in this segment. Lol

I can’t buy the pilot, I bought the next episode and more if I want, yes 3. That’s prime.

Hulu has the 2008 movie.

I thought you said just start at season3. I might have to watch episode 2 and 3 before I watch 4. That will take me a while.

I just thought you said start on season 3. My mistake. Unlike you, lol, I haven’t seen it umpteenth times. Lol I have to reorient myself for context.

I watched s3 ep 2 last night. I’ll watch 3 tonight.

Btw, my s3 episode 1 observation was 3 times more in depth than i originally gave you, but I hear crickets from you. For my efforts I would like to hear feedback. I am not the kind who likes to be taken for granted. 😁 literally.

okay but i wont be able to do it till tomorrow evening,i will do so then. I will try to put some new thoughts into the season priemere of season 3 episodes 1 and 2 tomorrow.

S/3 ep 2

Clark couldn’t kill his dad. I knew John was safe.

So it looks like lionel had the blood vial, hired someone to steal it, but it also involved lex’s wife. Confusing.

Oh, that was a great effect. The door closing, exposing lana crying several times. I’ve never seen that done. Brilliant writing. And she’s done with clark hurting her. Clark understands.

Oh my, clark goes into red ring behavior without the ring, is he changing? Again, you are right; he was acting.

Lex forgives her? No, he does tit for tat on the plane. I would have liked watching her fall off the plane. We now see just how conniving Lex can be. Trusting his intentions in the future will be difficult.

A truce with lionel. I suspect karma is catching up with old dad. Lol and what is this thing with the life insurance priority.

The bad guys that knew about the blood vial. It is as if lionel is protecting clark then holding it over his head.

Its over with lana and clark. Looks permanent.

And lex saves the farm. He only asks that he be part of the family. What is in it for him?

S3 ep3

Lex appears to be questioning if the meteorite affected him. He questions childhood illnesses openly with his dad. It is odd because he’s been keeping a secret room with files of strange happenings since the meteorite shower, including a space ship. So we assume he is a freak but we haven’t seen his powers. He also pretends to be Clark’s friend but is actively investigating him. His agenda isn’t clear at this point but we have seen clear signs that he may not be as caring as he seems.

Lana saves Clark. Nice moves. Later when she tells Clark she is relieved that the meteorite hadn’t hit, that all would be alright in Smallville, he understands he must stay away. He would never want to hurt her. He is the reason her parents got killed so he declines being romantically involved with her.

I know what your point of view will be—his caring parents. I look forward to hearing it.

Brilliant opening paragraph there.sums it up perfectly. episode one and then the conclusion episode 2 of season 3 is my FAVORITE episode of the entire SERIES of smallville. and those points you mentioned in the opening paragraph play a major role in WHY it is my favorite.:)

this episode showcases the excellent acting talents of both john and the actress martha kent, when i see john again in a couple months i am going to tell him that. this episode really gave him the chance to showcase his acting chops and again the wifes as well. we see that in the barn when john and martha are looking at old photos with them and clark and john starts crying remembering the old times,VERY touching emotionally. clark is there listening in and they hear him tip over something and martha knowing clark was there shouts out his name,VERY touching and moving moment, gave me goosebumps. this particular episode relly gave her a chance to show off her acting chops.

the openening seqence to the start of the show showing clark walking the streets of metropolis and showing him break into a bank totally sets the tone for the show and adding on that really great song GIRLS AND MONEY gives you the hint right there you are in for an exciting episode and again, gets the ball rolling giving you an idea how exciting the episode is really going to be.

clark robbng banks for money just shows how the red kryptonite totally changes his personality.

chole had to wonder if clark was on drugs and a drug dealer as well when he started yelling at her as he did seeing a personaly change we have never seen before even when he had the ring on the FIRST time in season two and was somehow able to afford to live the life of a multi millionaire, who wouldnt think that?

was a great cool moment with great diologue in the scene with Lana and clark when after clark yelled at john on the phone lana says-clark what is wrong with you, your parents love you,i love you. Lana really got to demonstrate her serious dramatic acting skills there. the people that say she is such a bad actress are indeed stupid *****.

we also get a great opportunity to see Lex shine and show off HIS acting chops as well in this episode,he had his work cut out for him.had to be a difficult and hard task on him,

what a thrilling cliffhanger, watching john tackle clark on that highrise tower and fall hundreds of stories below to the ground.we never saw that one coming. for the people like myself who saw the episode back then when it first aired,it was EXCRUCIATING having to wait an entire week to see what the outcome was going to be.to see them pick up where they left off.
