Smack Talk Thread

All I remember is seeing one when I went to go get ammo, and it was all plastic, but semi translucent,

Monte Carlo stock, it was beautiful! Like those old tortoise shell combs, but a gun.

I had a Marlin model 60 with a tiger-striped stock and a squirrel on the handle, it was pretty, but that Remington was next-level.

It might have been some sort of a dealer's/salesman display model but I've never heard tell of one.

The Nylon 66 came with stocks in Mohawk Brown, Apache Black (with the metal being nickeled), and a dark Seneca Green.

K-Mart had one made for them by Remington in a much brighter green stock called the 77 Apache.

I created this thread for "smack talk," not "gun talk," not "worthless candyass advice."

It now has a life of it's own.....Good thing weiner man because your thread was bad and you should feel bad for even starting it.

In fact I would go as far as to say that you should thank the participants for rescuing and making something of it. ;)

It was an excellent .22 for the money. Even for hundreds more.

It was my Go-To .22 for plinking, vermin removal etc. Until I discovered the Ruger 10/22.

It's all you can do to find one in Mohawk Brown (the most common variant) for under $375.00 these days.

The thing you had to watch with them was putting too heavy a scope on them....Over the years I've found that the 3/4" scopes work best.....The old Weaver D-4 being perfect.

Not wanting him to escape, I pulled out my only killing tool handy, a 2-inch blade pocket knife. I stuck it through the mesh into his abdomen and he turned his head around quickly and bit my index finger, drawing blood.

My first thought was the possibility of rabies. Then I badassed it and said to myself, "Rabies don't kill me, I kill rabies." It was a year ago, so I was right, huh.
WTF did I just read?
