They should be revoked if you violate the terms of the Visa, such as not going to school on a student visa or not working on a work visa, then I'm all for revoking them.

Actually, most states will issue foreigners driver's licenses. Somehow even my wife got a driver's license, even though she speaks limited English and doesn't drive.

As far as purchasing guns, since the Second Amendment is about Militias, that would actually make sense. Although I knew a guy who was an immigrant from the Ukraine who had no problem with a firearm purchase here in IL where the laws are supposedly strict.
