In a way I am glad she did it. Seeing there is no "official language" of the United States, I say "good for her". And let us be honest, this would not have happened if not for you know who. She was very frank on why she did it.

After her "Star-Spangled Banner" performance at the LA Dodgers game, Nezza addressed the moment on social media. “I’ve sung the national anthem (in English) many times in my life,” she said. “But today out of all days I could not, I’m sorry.” She added that, given the current climate—including intensifying immigration raids that continue igniting concerns of racial profiling while targeting Latino communities, in addition to protests against them and ICE in LA—singing it in Spanish felt like the only choice that made sense.

It was political. Did everyone kneel?

Show support for Trump's agenda by demanding that the ***** be deported.

No white American should be silent on this open display of comfort to those opposing the regime.

WTH? A foreigner is a guest in our country, and then sings OUR National Anthem in HER foreign tongue? Shit.

I was in a department store last week, and there was this lengthy announcement over the PA system -must have gone on for two minutes - ENTIRELY in Spanish. There was no follow-up translation in English.

These type of things are a slap in the face to native-born Americans, who speak English.

She is American. She was born in the Bay Area California.
English is not the official language of either California, or the US, and this is a nongovernmental event. But as noted, now I want to hear it in Lakotah or Cajun French. :springbed:

I would have thought you would have had some serious thoughts about your own country's regime. :eusa_whistle:

Yes, of course. How does that defend against a foreigner singing the American National Anthem in a foreign language?

It’s a good thing she wasn’t waving a Mexican flag.

The left wants a king so bad...

She is not a foreigner. She is bilingual, like many in California, Texas, and the Southwest-including many of the fans at the game.
Spanish is not a foreign language, any more than English, Cajun French, or low German in Central Texas.

I have no problem with anyone singing the American National Anthem in any language of their choosing

Most Americans speak only English. It’s a slap in the face.
