The term progressive has reached its limit of dishonesty. Let's be honest, progressive is just another term for communist. I see very little difference in their means to expand power, in their view of the individual or businesses and the governments role in them.

Trump's policies were geared toward the establishment of an autocratic government, like Putin .

There are many flavors of collectivism, Nazism, Communism, Socialism, Progressivism etc. But at their core they are all an attempt at unquestioned centralized control. At the end of the day, the name of the game is absolute power. The reason the despots gravitate towards Marxism is not a desire to sell out ideologically to it, rather, they gravitate to it because in order to be at the center of every single financial transaction, and then redistribute the wealth from that transaction, takes an enormous amount of control and oversight.
