Today there are surgical procedures women can have to keep from having to wear bras when older, or when too heavy/large.
Bras are the female equivlaent of a mans "cup" or jock strap. It's there mostly for protection against tearing skin and ripping blood vessels when in motion.
Bras aren't just for decency laws, they are for holding something in place that could be damaged otherwise.
But since the 60's, modestly built women don't tend to wear bras when wearing non-sheer like fabrics. Most bras are for heavier set women who may have problems with them "going wild" when in motion.
If you dress decently, then I see no reason for a woman to wear a bra if she doesn't want too. I certainly don't want to see them rolling around under her top, like two cats fighting. Which I've seen WAY more than I ever wanted to in my life so far. LOL
If you have "low hangers", then I would always suggest some type of support system. Much like old men who have balls that reach their knees......who need to wear some form of tight underwear or cup.
