I disagree a little. But there are gopers like Kasich and Alexander, Flake and Corker …. and even McCain, Coburn … who never renounced limiting spending and govt. The gop serves the plutocracy, no disagreement. But it may have abandoned Goldwater/Reagan because it decided to win natl elections with a minority of voters. So to do that, it had to court the minority over and over. They chose to abandon any claim to serving the good of the maj.

Trump beat Hillary, but could not beat Biden. So I wouldn't pledge my troth there. The gop desperately needs a new strategy. Latinos support limited govt, though they want healthcare and educ too. Repub passed law packages. And if they do not get it, the Prog Socialist judge shows up to reverse a law or an executive order. No questions asked.
