Should The Cross Be A Fashion Statement?

I have a question that has always bothered me a bit... if a guillotine were used to kill Jesus would we wear little guillotines around our necks?... I asked a Priest that question once and he scolded me....

I have a question that always bothers me: how come you never see any atheist soup kitchens or homes for unwedded mothers ?

I'm actually a born again Christian who wears my cross necklace every day whenever I remember to put it on because I think of it as my spiritual collar. It reminds me that I belong to Jesus. However, I'm not really phased what other people do as that's between them and God. That's none of my business.

I have gold but I always wear a silver cross on a silver chain Have been forever

The cross has been a fashion statement for my entire 74 year life. I see nothing wrong with fashion statements that celebrate peace, love and understanding.

I'm okay when I talk politics too, you just don't understand where I'm coming from...

Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe you're exactly the same way when it comes to me?

At my church there is a crucifix above the altar with the form of Jesus on the cross... to me that is different... but just the instrument of his death alone has always troubled me... but I don't find many people who feel this way so I usually don't mention it...
I'll save the question for after I die and hopefully God willing go to Heaven...

If you love Jesus and know that He loves you and died for your sins and rose again three days later then you'll go to Heaven. 😊

Such jewelry could easily be described as a Talisman, and humans are very superstitious creatures. IMO organized religion relies upon superstition to manipulate the mind. Crucifix, Star Of David, Crescent Moon with star, all display some degree of superstition.
