In a democratic republic society, our laws are a reflection of how we want things to be. And our political system is majority rules. So if a majority thinks they don't want Confederate things visible in public, then those things would get removed (by government, not hoodlum vandals).

By the same token, if a majority said they did not want to have men kissing each other visibly in public, or "Pride" parades, or LGBT flags, then those things also could be banned.

You obviously don't know jackshit about the American Republic, how and why it was founded, or the purpose behind the Constitution and our the creation of our three branches of government. Majority rule is mob rule, to the person, all the founders knew that.
