Should Easter become a national holiday?

Meh, I never took you as being very bright so..... 😐
Well, seeing as how I could ever disagree with you about anything, I would see how you would think that considering you are such a genius yourself.

Trump is trying to make it one

Easter is deeply rooted in the traditions and folkways of the American nation itself. Some 80% of Americans celebrate this holiday — a larger number than the nearly two-thirds of Americans who identify as Christian.

Last week, Trump introduced legislation that would establish Easter Monday as a federal holiday. Easter Monday is already recognized as a public holiday in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and most of Western Europe. The United States is one of the only nations in the West that doesn’t formally recognize it as such.

The bill was introduced with Rep. Riley Moore (R-W.V.).

Should it succeed?
I am not a fan of the idea. We have enough national holidays and Easter Monday has ever been a day that Americans acknowledge or celebrate as special in any particular way.

There is no push to make the day before or after any other holiday/special day. If Christmas falls on a Sunday, there is no national holiday declared for the Monday after.

Bit as there are no national holidays in March or April, if the legislature passes it, oh well. In the grand scheme of things, it probably wouldn't hurt so long as the people were not mandated to close their businesses and such on that day. Given that five of our current national holidays are mostly ignored by most people, I am guessing that Easter Monday would be pretty much ignored as well. Just one more day we won't get mail.

How dumb can you be? Even a dipshit like Trump should know Easter Monday isn’t a thing. How about Friday you non religious knowing idiots? Even if it was a good idea it’s executed like shit. Trump sucks.
