Should classic black and white movies be colorized?

Sure. Don't see why purists get so up in arms about it. Modern processes have already made them look and sound way better than they ever did. Seriously, without the camera lint, scratches, bad splices and background noise are you still watching "classic cinema"?
 
Some should, some shouldn't.... that's only my opinion.:)

Regardless, I like B/W movies and photos.:biggrin:
 
The majority of 'colorized' movies I've seen look like they were colorized by 8 year olds, with a box of crayolas

Because lighting was a big part of the mood of some of the old BW's so colorizing them screws with that effect. Not saying I am for or against. I just think there are some movies where colorizing them could take away from the mood of scenes.
 
To me, it would help make the films more interesting. My favorite part of The Wizard Of Oz film is when its in color.
