Looks like it would solve the homeless problem. Rounding them up seems like the only way to go. Good work by Kavanaugh, Barrett, and Gorsuch.

We can't have encampments growing in our cities... its a convenient way for people to live for free so they can afford their drugs... its bad for society and the environment....

I read about an encampment in a beach side town in California where the property value is in the millions... the homeless zombies took over a green belt near the highway...
The smell and trash and filth got so bad the towns people voted out their entire council and Mayor...
Then the homeless zombies would come out at night and steal bikes BBQs and anything else that wasn't screwed down...
The article showed pictures of at least thirty shopping carts from the near by Ralphs store being dragged out of there...
People couldn't leave their cars at mechanic shops near by because they would get broken into...
We need law and order and this would be a good first step...

This thread isn't about homelessness per-se but the video in the OP graphically illustrates the problem.

And other topics on 'squatter's rights' and such plus the problem of housing millions upon millions of migrants invading the country is becoming a disaster for America. Homelessness should not be a crime, but nobody should be able to just stake out an area owned by others and/or the taxpayers and live in it rent free when everybody else has to pay for the privilege of having a place to call home.

China makes.the homeless a crime. Is this the path we want society to take? Billions given to California for the issue,.where are the receipts?..Furthermore, if they cant.be produced,.where are the charges of corruption.and theft?

It's already a crime, and it's getting worse. Theft, assault, rape, murder. People out of their minds high on drugs. Pissing and shitting on the sidewalks. Trash heaps that would get any tax payer tossed in jail. The people that pay for the parks no longer feel safe going to the parks. In our biggest city park there are large signs every 20 feet warning the scum will break into your vehicle so don't leave anything in your car. AND THE PARKING AREA WAS EMPTY. Now the scum are running squatting scams.

Look there's plenty of government land in the Nevada Desert, it's time for a good old fashioned RELOCATION!

Billions given to the bank accounts of Cali politicians.
You don't think it actually goes where it's supposed to go do you?

then where are the charges? This is akin to the old Soviet system of oligarchs.
Democrats have been skimming money for decades. Here's an example from the Clinton administration. ASSHOLE Clinton and his asshole Dem pals destroyed the timber industry. Because, climate and save a tree and the spotted owl BS (extreme sarcasm). This wiped out towns all over the country where the primary employer was the timber mill, wood products plant, paper mill etc. Suddenly untold thousands of working class people were unemployed.

SO dickhead Bill said don't worry, we'll give you billions in federal money to retrain loggers to work in computers. Wait for it...Democrats spent the lions share of the money on other crap that had nothing to do with retraining people.

There's roughly 650,000 homeless people in the US. If Biden can import 10 million damn illegals and get them squared away we can round up a paltry 650k and take back our public spaces and put a stop to the crime.

It would be like trying to stop people from smoking weed by making it illegal.

People sure do love their big authoritarian government though.

all false, relax
First of all the law does not define homelessness as vagrancy.
Relax

And the next thread on this topic will be all these same people whining about their taxes going up to pay for locking up all the homeless people.

The Court should also say that homeless have to be housed in any government buildings including the Governors mansion

I'd sooner see a prison built on my property line than a wind farm. ;)

Jokes aside prisons also provide real local jobs if they are put out in the Hinterlands.

The ones that are built in out of the way places seldom see the turnover the ones near population centers do.

Being homeless shouldn't be a crime.

But, in today's world being homeless should be a crime.

The only way we will fix our problems is by making tough decisions that are going make things hard on a few in order to make things better for the many.

Our society is becoming complacent, lazy, weak, soft, dumb and lacking ambition. We need a return to American morals, values and standards.

The only way we will ever get rid of the homeless, crime, criminals, drugs, all the illegals pouring in, protestors interfering with people's lives and so on is to crack down on it all with a heavy hand.

If we create a society of strong willed, smart, independent people then the homeless will dry up over time.
