We know that if someone goes to the hospital for knee surgery and catches COVID there, they're counted as a "COVID hospitalization".. so it's hard to get any accurate data. I guess we just have to admit that the official data is astronomically skewed.

No, there is no reason to close the schools. Kids are not at risk from COVID, and they should go to school. The ongoing fear porn we had first year that switched schools to remote learning was useless and did more harm than good. Teachers unions, especially in blue states found another reason to declare themselves "victims" just to get paid for staying at home. I think it's enough of their bullcrap.

If a kid is sick it's should be one full week off at home, covid or no covid. That's called being responsible. There is no other way to look at it. Keep schools open. If a teachers gets covid it should be 14 days away no sick days used. Then back to work. Common sense.
