Should BLM be permitted to take down every statue and stained glass window of Jesus because he was white

Funny how Martin Luther King was not offended by Jesus

You do know Jesus wasn't European, right?
Jesus was a Jew who taught the Jews the error of their ways so they fed him to the Romans

If you need more just ask

Doesn't make him white...

And exactly WHAT "evidence"is that ?

Archaeological, anthropological, historical. Your claim that He had a fair-skinned European appearance is not borne out by anything other than Medieval depictions and wishful thinking. As is typical of humans, you want to create your gods in your own image.

This is an interesting read. I'll just quote a snippet.

"In her 2018 book What Did Jesus Look Like?, Taylor used archaeological remains, historical texts and ancient Egyptian funerary art to conclude that, like most people in Judea and Egypt around the time, Jesus most likely had brown eyes, dark brown to black hair and olive-brown skin. He may have stood about 5-ft.-5-in. (166 cm) tall, the average man’s height at the time. "

Why is it important to you all that Jesus look "white"? If He is not white, does that destroy His message? The message that has lasted for two thousand years?

Jesus was not Black. Jesus was not White. Jesus was not Asian. Jesus was not Latino.

JESUS WAS MIDDLE EASTERN!

Jesus can and should be depicted in every image of man He created. BLM has no use for Jesus. BLM is simply looking to disrupt.

If the image of Jesus at a church offends you, go find a church with an image that does not offend you. It’s that simple.

It is not important to me that he was white or any other color. Is it important to you that he was not white ? You seem to be going through a lot of trouble to portray him as not white. And I don't recall using the word "fair-skinned".

And even in your final analysis, you present an image ("brown eyes, dark brown to black hair and olive-brown skin.") that appears to be typical of many white, southern Europeans, such as Spanish, French, Italian, Greek, etc.

It doesn't matter to me if He was polka-dotted. I merely made the comment that if He reappeared today, many American Christians would reject Him and His message because He is/was not the European-appearing man depicted in medieval paintings. Several here insisted that I'm wrong because He was white... which of course indicates that my original comment is true: They would NOT accept Him or any other prophet if they did not look like them.

And Mexicans. And Native Americans. Do you think many American Christians would accept that phenotype as Jesus, were He to return? That's what this topic is about.

Why not ? His character, expressed by his words and deeds, are what matter. There are many black conservatives whom I accept and respect highly.
