Sex is only for the rich in the US

Underaged is anyone with whom it is illegal to engage in sex with. In most (if not all) states most (if not all) middle school students are not legally permitted to engage in most of the activities listed on that list, that was posted in common areas of the school by the SEX ED teacher.

That's called "grooming".

"Child grooming comprises actions deliberately undertaken with the aim of befriending and establishing an emotional connection with a child, to lower the child's inhibitions in order to sexually abuse the child.[1] Child grooming may be used to lure minors into trafficking of children, illicit businesses such as child prostitution, or the production of child pornography.[2][3][4] It is a behavior that is characteristic of paedophilia.
This criminal behaviour has been proscribed in various ways since the International Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Women and Children, which was agreed in 1921 as a multilateral treaty of the League of Nations that addressed the problem of international trafficking of women and children for nefarious purposes. The proscribed traffic was international in nature at that time. The concept of localised grooming, in which gangs of reprobates groom neighbourhood victims, was devised in 2010 by the UK Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre.[5]"

Legally permitted? When was the last time the legality came into play when two people liked each other?

So basically anyone under 18? Thats just silly...I mean, thats cool you wish it wasnt that way but if I wish that a bird doesnt take a shit on my newly washed vehicle that doesnt change the reality that it will happen.....right?

But heaven forbid someone suggest these kids get MARRIED before engaging in sex..that's just sick!

Suggest or Expect?

You expect them to have sex without marriage..I find that more disgusting, particularly given the ages we're discussing, than expecting them to get married and then have sex.

Calm down madam moiselle...I'm asking you if you expect them to wait till marriage or suggest them to wait until marriage?

Because suggesting is a great idea and I hope that young people take it to heart

But expecting is unrealistic since sex feels good. And the unrealistic part is the reason for sex ed, because odds are that they are engaging in sexual activity anyway. What then? Tell them about saving themselves again?

Christianity does not disdain sex. Christianity disdains perversion.

Condums are available in every drug store, convenience store, and gas station in the country. If you can't afford $1 for a condum then you have no business screwing. You libs are so full of shit.
I agree with Redfish.

Heheheheheheh. When I agree with Redfish, you guys are in big trouble.

Explain to me why we have had a surge in crime, in one parent households, in out of wedlock births..since the advent of teaching kids "we don't think you should, but we still EXPECT you to have sex...cuz sex is fun!"

Explain the surge in extreme weather

Who said that anyone should tell them we expect them to have sex?

The premise of the OP was that the poor do not have easy access to "low-cost birth control".

This is a false premise. And like any building which does not have a solidly laid cornerstone, every belief or policy built on this bogus foundation meets a disastrous end.

If you're too poor to afford condoms and stupid to pull out, you should not be having sex.

Having sex isn't a right its a privilege.

You have said repeatedly that you expect them to have sex, and their education should reflect that.

The word "expect" is subject to equivocation.

In other words, to say you expect someone to have sex can have more than one meaning. When your mother says, "I expect you to clean your room", she is not saying she believes you will on your own. She is ordering you to clean your room.

"Since the advent of teaching kids", no one was ordering them to have sex, and so the use of the word "expect" should be avoided in order to remove any ambiguity from the debate.

The liberal approach to sex was that it is unrealistic to believe people won't have sex outside of marriage. That is because people do have sex outside of marriage whether we like it or not. It's a simple fact. Even in the days of strict societal moral codes, people were having sex outside of marriage. Frequently.

Our society changed from one which let people suffer the consequences of their mistakes to one which helps people to live with the consequences of their mistakes. And this raises the issue of "moral hazard". Has this change in attitudes resulted in increased problems?

As you pointed out, we have seen a correlating rise in out-of-wedlock births and single parent households, which is a definite harmful outcome.

On the other hand, do we really want to return to the days where the innocent (children) suffered along with the guilty? Do we withhold food assistance from a family because we consider their mother to be a wanton slut?

These are hard questions to find the correct way through.

No, it's not. You have said over and over that you expect them to have sex, regardless of the legality of it.

Innocent children suffer along with the guilty right now. When they are preyed upon and sexualized from the time they are very young.

So my question again to you is; Who said that anyone should tell them we expect them to have sex?

"The US doesn't want poor people to have sex. Or rather, it has instituted policies that deny the economically disadvantaged easy access to low-cost birth control, either through insurance or publicly funded family planning programmes.'"

Not paying for "poor people" to have sex is not wanting them to have sex. Because of course it's our job to pay for them to have sex. What a tool. You're a sock puppet for the Democratic party. Does the hand up your ass hurt?

What do you think you're telling them when you post descriptions of various and assorted sexual acts in the hallways, and pass out condoms in school?

To commit violent acts of course

The single parent issue is more complicated by the fact that women have been gaining more independence. They are more able to sustain themselves without being dependent on a man to provide.

Thus it is difficult to prove unequivocally that the loosening of social mores is the biggest or single cause of the rise in single parent households.

The Pill has also loosened the chains which used to restrict women. No longer does birth control revolve around the male and his unreliable condom.

Those women who have gotten abortions have said half the time they got pregnant because there was no birth control of any kind being used during the sex act which led to the unwanted pregnancy.

Another 19 percent of abortions are due to the improper or inconsistent use of birth control.

Is this an access problem? Or is this an "I don't feel like it" or "I don't know what the hell I am doing" problem?

We cannot make assumptions. But one thing is clear: If we increase the use of birth control, and increase the proper and consistent use of birth control, the number of unwanted pregnancies would plummet.

The OP surmises this is wholly an access problem, but I don't buy that for a second.
