Senator with an A rating from the NRA

says that the organization lied in order to kill the gun control legislation.

Joe Manchin: NRA 'Lying' About Background Checks - Business Insider

The NRA desperation is growing.
Yep, and it's not the first time nor will it be the last. The purpose of the NRA is to promote guns. We have about 270,000,000 now. That averages out to be about 2 in every home. Of course that's not enough. Like GM in the 50's with their 2 cars in every garage goal, the NRA and the gun manufactures will go for three guns in every home.

I think the NRA is likely to bring about exactly what they are fighting to prevent. As the number of weapons increase, so will the slaughters and with each new round of violence, the cry for somebody to do something will increase. Eventually, the states and federal government will act. It's only a question of time.

Of course they lied. The NRA at this point is held together by dishonesty and ignorance.

The irony, of course, is they didn’t need to lie.

Needless to say, for the NRA it’s not about ‘gun rights,’ it’s about partisan politics, and the NRA as a component of the GOP pursuing a comprehensive and extremist conservative agenda.

So, which one of you will point out exactly how this bill would have made anyone safer ? Or will you continue to lament your saviors fail ?

Have you read the statistics about how many people fail background checks and how many are arrested by state and federal authorities after failing background checks - including at gun shows?

Not many.
Was there a point you were trying to make?

Keep telling yourself that.
Freedom won a victory today. ANyone mourning over it doesn't want freedom.

We are not talking statistics, the failure of this bill is the topic. Please, point out one item in the bill that addresses any aspect of any mass shooting that has happened in this country. You cant, and you will not. You lost.

Criminal record top reason for U.S. gun-check rejection - CNN.com

Sadly, few are prosecuted.

Some of these NRA lackey legislators who are in swing states or districts, who are counting the NRA to save them on an issue they're taking a 90 - 10 bath on might be in for a bit of a surprise.

The pro-background check money is going to roll over the NRA like a tsunami.
