Senator Thune. RINO MANIPULATOR

Rick Scott will probably become the Senate majority leader.
He is definitely making a run for it....

These are the conservative voting records of the RINOS who are fighting to replace Mitch McConnell. You do NOT award leadership of the Senate to people who vote with the DEMOCRATS 60% of the time.
John Thune 35% F
John Cornyn 37% F
Markwayne Mullin 42% F
Thom Tillis 39% F
Joni Ernst 42% F
You MUST have a Senate Leader who votes to SUPPORT President Trump's agenda.
Josh Hawley 96% A
Ron Johnson 88% B
Mike Lee 91% A
Rand Paul 86% B
Eric Schmitt 92% A
Rick Scott 92% A
Tommy Tuberville 89% B

You have something on that? I don't think that's accurate. He acknowledged that there was some Russian meddling (the social media stuff), but he never (to my knowledge) bought into the collusion narrative. I could be wrong, he was on the Intelligence Committee and spoke pretty forcefully after the Mueller investigation had concluded, for the Senate to conclude their investigation too.

"But I just think after the Mueller investigation has concluded after two years, dozens of lawyers and others, FBI agents, investigating this, we know everything we already know about Russian collusion and there was none. So I think the rationale of keeping the investigation of the Intelligence Committee open is wearing kind of thin."

The whole thing was kabuki theater, and they all sort of had to play along because of that bullshit "IC Assessment" that Brennan and Clapper and Comey concocted.

I never heard Cornyn say anything that led me to think he was on board with the collusion nonsense. I think the guy has more sense than that- he can recognize a political smear job when he sees it...

I don't have audio. Is he just describing the IC Assessment, or is he implying there was actual collusion?
Just the IC assessment.
But look at the post where I was replying to someone else....where his voting record is shown....he only voted in favor of Trump policies 37% of the time. That's kinda pathetic. Meaning he voted with the democrats 63% of the time. We usually call that a RINO.

Logistically speaking....
Trump has a VERY aggressive agenda to accomplish and not a lot of time to get it done. He has 2025 and a very small window of 2026. Then it's midterm elections. And likely a government shutdown in there somewhere. (Democrats will do so because they want power)

I would have to see the source and review how they came to those numbers. I'm not saying it's not true, I just like to flesh out those things a little bit before I draw conclusions.

The Senate is a funny place, the junior Senators and the old guard are not aligned on a lot of things, especially in Trump's first term. There are probably some "show votes" in that mix, proposals that never had a chance but were put up for political reasons.

They will have a reconciliation bill in 2025 to make tax code changes, maybe one in 2026 and maybe not. Election years bring legislation to a standstill.

A shutdown won't hurt my feelings, ever since Obama's second term policy has been done by EO anyway. Trump will deal with the border with EO's.

Trump needs a majority leader who will confirm his lesser appointments en bloc, and leave the confirmation hearings to cabinet officials. They need to do that right out of the gate.

That position usually goes to someone with seniority, so a Mike Lee or Ron Johnson isn't really in the cards (though I would prefer either one over the short list on this thread).

Thune was and is a POS
