Senator Thune is already looking to threaten Trump and derail his presidency...

I'm thinking he needs a spanking.

To have a SECRET BALLOT VOTE IN THE SENATE?

What kind of crap is this?

No, he isn't. He's telling the President elect to not meddle in the leadership fight. Meaning, Thune doesn't want to see Trump hand pick a Senate majority leader.

Thune is a RINO of McConnell who is as corrupt as they come. And he doesn't want the newly elected Senators have any say in who leadership is. That's a problem!

Secret votes are also a problem!

These people were elected to represent constituents....not big business or to line their own pockets.

The Senate is designed to give ALL states an EQUAL voice....not just a few entrenched dirty politicians complete say.

Wrong loser. It isn't "meddling" for the best thing to happen to the GOP in 40 years to give input on who he thinks would be best to head the Senate as two people destined to work together on every key issue! Just so long as it isn't Mitch.

Farm Credit
Farm Credit issues low interest (subsidized) loans to Farmers and Agricultural product producers. It's governed by a board of 5 officers which is appointed by the president for a 6 year term limit. Currently the ONLY board member is an assistant to McConnell and has been there for 12 years.

Meanwhile Farm Credit has been telling Tyson where they will process chickens and bankrupting farmers who then are forced to sell their farms to China for pennies on the dollar. On top of this Farm Credit has loans to Verizon wireless to the tune of Billions.

Do I need to continue? McConnell is the oversight Senator for Farm Credit....has been for decades.

I might be favorable to considering one of these to head the senate:
  • Marsha Blackburn
  • Tom Cotton
  • Ted Cruz
  • John Kennedy
  • Rand Paul
I would lean towards Ted Cruz or John Kennedy.
Blackburn, Cruz, Cotton and Paul are "no go" in my book.
Where Blackburn is "clean" she isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. She doesn't have it in her to lead a cesspool of sharks and thieves.
Cruz and Paul are both identical in that they are nothing but rhetoric puppets. I do not trust them. Often working quietly behind the scenes to keep themselves off the record of voting what they do not want to be recorded as voting. They would LOVE to have every vote secret. If it dies in committee....they didn't have to vote at all.

Cotton? If I'm not mistaken he is one of the worst offender of insider trading of any of the senators. He is the most blatant and active stock trader. If Trump goes after Pelosi for insider trading Cotton has to go too.
Politics is a dirty business.

Kennedy? I don't remember much about him.

Again, Thune just doesn't want Trump making a scene about a hand picked majority leader. My money is on Thune or Cornyn. They are the stalwarts.
Rick Scott is a complete flake. :)

None of these will make the final cut. Thune, Cornyn, or Barasso is the smart money.

Well....
Trying to vote in a new Majority leader BEFORE the newly elected senators are sworn in PLUS by a secret vote....that's completely dishonest and immoral.

Kennedy? I don't remember much about him.

Seriously? You need to hunt down some YouTube video of him interrogating people over the border like Mayorkas.
Kennedy comes off as this folksy home town boy with a mind slow as molasses, but it turns out this guy is a master strategist and litigator. He just talks slow and polite while stomping your ass.

The guy has totally impressed me. I would love to have him representing me in a courtroom. He doesn't miss a thing.

He might be a good one....
If I were Trump I'd let Vance have the lead on this one.
