In a Republic, actually
“Trump is about to come face to face with one of his frequent punching bags: Senate Republicans. They might just be in a mood to punch back. The president was invited to GOP senators’ Wednesday lunch to push for his No. 1 priority, the GOP election bill known as the SAVE America Act.

But several outgoing Republicans who have clashed with Trump said Monday they will be there to deliver a reality check: The bill isn’t passing, and it’s time to move on. “I’m going to be there front and center,” Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) told reporters. “It will be important if it actually is a constructive exchange of different opinions, and hopefully we can all get on the same page. Right now, we’re not in a great place.”

Cornyn, who recently lost his bid for a fifth term to a Trump-endorsed challenger, reiterated the votes just aren’t there to pass the elections bill: “I’ve been around here long enough and been through enough battles and counted enough votes to know that it doesn’t just magically occur, no matter how much you wish it would happen.”

Sens. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) and Bill Cassidy (R-La.) — who are also departing the Senate in part due to Trump — said Monday they, too, will be at the closed-door lunch and urged Trump to turn the page on the SAVE America Act.’

Not that a reality check will do any good – Trump is divorced from reality.

The so called ‘save’ act is bad legislation – unnecessary and predicated on lies about noncitizens voting; an un-Constitutional measure nationalizing election procedures which are the sole purview of the states.

Lame duck senators, whining as they slouch out of the Senate.
Defeated. Whining. Losers.

Did I mention whining?

The sleazy, self-dealing, sellout statist phukchops who've kneecapped Trump all along are kneecapping him again, on the way out their lame duck door?

And the moonbats act like this is new news.

jones talking about reality....lol...

If they are saying they don't have the votes, they probably don't have the votes...

Even if they passed it, it wouldn't change anything. The whole idea is based on a six year old conspiracy theory.

Indeed.Trump's "Big Lie".

Trump and the GOP have never been able to document fraudulent votes on a scale to alter any election outcome.

The SAVE America Act is Jim Crow on a federal scale.

Because black voters can't figure out how to get a photo id?

They're not as smart as you?

Your Orange Jesus can't even fix a pond and you think they are the bad ones?
He ain't "my Orange Jesus"...And even if he were, that doesn't change what I said one iota.

BTW, how many people have been arrested for phoqing with that pond?...You have any evidence to suggest that the algae bloom wasn't set off by one of those vandals?
