Senate cannot try a private citizen !!!

Therefore, Roberts thinks it's unconstitutional.
Must’ve missed it. When did he say that?
When he refused to preside over something the Dems are calling an "impeachment trial" but which has a form not recognized in the Constitution. This is something called "logic," maddog ---- don't worry about it.
Why won’t Trump challenge the Constitutionality. That would resolve it once and for all? Is he afraid of losing AGAIN?

YOu are right. He has 2. However, it just shows you how wrong the process was?
If you think a Constitutional process is wrong / outdated you should know the Constitutional process for changing the Constitution....Nancy Pelosi doing what she wants ain't it.
When did I say the constitutional process wrong? I mean the people who invoked it were so wrong. :p

hmm, very good reflection. I am impressed.
That is not impeachment. In fact, Congress can do it now, puts orange in jail for 12 months, and we can all move on.
For committing what crime (keeping in mind that infuriating you is not a crime)?

The USSC Justice is REQUIRED by the Constitution to preside over a Constitutional Impeachment.....
But only of a sitting president. Had the Trump trial started on January 19th. Roberts would have presided between then and noon on the 20th. After which the presiding officer would have changed to VP Harris, or her designee.

Democrats can impeach any politician for anything if enough fools toe Miss Nancy's line.
It's a purely political tool, the way impeachment is used now. What is Trump supposed to do
about the idiocy of the democrats?

There can't be any legitimate trial for a non President, you fucking NAZI moron.

Roberts isn't having any of this one.

'Nuff said.
Therefore, Roberts thinks it's unconstitutional.

And, after all, he should know.
First off, Roberts wasn't invited, second his presence is only required for a sitting president. It's clear that Roberts agrees that Joe Biden won the election.

Who's Trump?

Oh, one of those 330,000,000 people who are not president. I'm not persuaded he has standing.

The Constitution says you can impeach a president. Well, there is one of those --- why not impeach Biden, if you are so hot to impeach a president? Trump is not eligible.

You don’t have an answer to my question, do you?

Why won’t Trump file suit to prevent the trial?

Do you have an answer?

Trump was impeached on January 13, while he still served as president.
If you claim the senate can't try someone charged with impeachment because they resigned or otherwise left office, that means Trump would have been impeached TWICE, and acquitted only ONCE.

How will that happen?
Because Trump cannot be impeached because he isn't president and Justice Powell will not go along with the farce (making the impeachment doubly illegal) and Leahy is not sure he should be participating either.

It's in Trump's interests to let the farce play out.

Why isn’t Trump challenging the Constitutionalty of his trial? Why isn’t he suing to stop it?

Glad you finally comprehend any trial now is unconstitutional
