Sen. Chuck Schumer says he has 'no faith in Trump's judicial system' after Comey indictment

‘Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Sunday that he has “no faith in Trump’s judicial system” and accused the president of undermining democracy by going after former FBI Director James Comey and other political foes.

Schumer said on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” that President Donald Trump “has turned this judicial system to be his own political fighter, [to] do what he wants, politically, so that he tells them to go after people he doesn’t like. He tells them to exonerate people that he likes.”

Schumer pointed to Comey, who was indicted last week on charges of making a false statement and obstruction of a congressional proceeding, just days after the president said that Attorney General Pam Bondi should prosecute him. Trump also called for the Justice Department to investigate other political foes, including New York Attorney General Letitia James and Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

“When he says he doesn’t like Comey, look what happened there,” Schumer told “Meet the Press” moderator Kristen Welker. “Trump’s done so many bad things to undermine our democracy, to undermine our norms. This is one of the very worst,” Schumer added.’

It is the very worst.

And it’s not just Trump – Congressional Republicans and Trump’s supporters have likewise worked to undermine democracy and undermine our norms.
"Whaaaaaaaaaa, whaaaaaaaaa our lawfare failed and now our illegal actions are being punished...whaaaaaa"-chuck-u schumer

Show me a directive where a democratic president has told the DOJ to indict a political opponent for retribution.

Go!
How about you explain a White House meeting between fani and federal prosecutors with Joey bribem aides in attendance.

And not one meeting, but several. They talking about the weather?

YOU might be that stupid to believe their lies, but we aren't.

Didn’t even bother reading this. Does anyone really care what Chuck Schumer says. LOL

You’re showing your hand.

You want him to suffer the process. Don’t you.

Suffer? Frankly, I think the fact we have due process here is an amazing thing…people that suffer the process are those simply jailed, like in China, Iran, Venezuela and all the other countries you and your party kowtow to

Biden said Harris lost because Garland drug his feet prosecuting Trump...lol

Then there was James, Bragg and Willis who campaigned on prosecuting Trump.

Trump is just playing by the same rules the Democrats applied to him and anyone who supported him.

Personally, I don't think he's going after them hard enough.
James, Bragg and Willis were state prosecutions. There was no evidence of any coordination between the DOJ and those state offices.

Trump is not playing by the same rules. Trump is using the power of the presidency to attack his opponents for retribution. I guess we are at the point that when a Democrat is elected, they will use the DOJ as their private legal army just like Trump. That Pandora's box has now been opened.

I do love it when loons do irony.

And Biden used the Presidency to take an opponent off the table. Karma's a biotch

Yet ALL of them had multiple meetings in the Whire House.

Huh...

How do you explain that away, skippy?

Link to me evidence where they (Bragg, James or Willis) had multiple meetings in the white house for the purpose of coordinating a prosecution against Trump.

First, There was never any proof of any coordination between Bragg and Garland; and second, there was not a shred of evidence that Biden was involved personally in any decision to prosecute Trump.
You must really think we are as naive as you are. From the link;
As opening arguments were underway on Monday, some of Trump's supporters took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their concerns about Matthew Colangelo, one of the prosecutors who began presenting the case to the jurors.
They specifically raised concerns about Colangelo previously serving in Biden's Department of Justice (DOJ). According to a press release announcing his hiring in December 2022, Colangelo spent two years in a senior position at the DOJ, overseeing the Antitrust, Civil, Civil Rights, Environment and Natural Resources, and Tax divisions.

Senator Schumer's career as a senator appears to be approaching the obsolete zone as the statist left relentlessly loose popularity with the American constituency.

Schumer might be the next to be indicted for raising a mob to intimidate the families of Supreme Court Justices. Is he responsible for the attempt on Justice Kav's life?

Who exactly places any value in the rancid dishonest political crap spewed by that shitbag Senator from NY?

Trump had nothing to do with the grand jury's decision. Schumer is gaslighting liberal rubes, looks like he found a few here.
