Seattle Teachers on Strike, 6 Figures and 3 Months Off a Year Not Enough

"Civil"??? You are one to talk, HYPOCRITE.

You don't go around calling teachers some of the laziest people you know and then get to bitch about others not being civil.
This is a message board with all kinds of opinions just in case you forgot.

My unions were banned from negotiating any compensation. You are an ignorant sack of pus!
I'll just take the high road and refrain from calling you a name. It is what a responsible adult does. With your attitude I wonder how many students actually looked up to you.

You worked hard at your profession and I applaud you for that but exceptional teachers and poor teachers get treated the same by the union. You might have had a more enjoyable experience teaching at a private school where the better teachers are compensated for exceptional work.
Listen and learn, with a few exceptions most private schools pay their teachers like dog shit!

I could not teach in a parochial school without being a Catholic.

Now, what other ignorance do you have to put out there, so I and others can smack you down?

Just because you swear at people here doesn't mean you smack anybody down. You just make yourself look bad.

Working a ton of hours is bad for a person. It's not healthy and there's no satisfaction or pride in putting in 70 hours in a week. Workers are starting to wake up and it's going to get more dicey for employers to keep them happy. As it should be.
No workers are wanting to be spoilt little children desperate to avoid adulting.
And that will only greatly speed up America losing it's place as the world economic leader/driver.
A recent Gallup poll showed that an estimated 52% of the American work force are "quiet quiters". A damning movement that will absolutely lead to further shortages and inflation as employers struggle to find workers who will actually work. And not spoilt "grown children" who act like 5 year olds only wanting to do what they want... which is as little as possible.

A greater number of our population would prefer socialism over capitalism. This is a sad fact.

Of course. Because they still want to be like children. Replacing their parents with government.
They never knew where their parents got their money to provide them with everything they wanted, so they think the government must have that same magical supply to let them have no responsibility for anything as long as they live.
There is not one single example of where socialism has worked in the world. Not one.
What there is, is 100s of examples if where it lead to grinding poverty for the masses and the top elites living like kings.
Every. Single. Time.

The bigger the government the lazier the people are.

If employers can't find workers that the employers fault. They aren't entitled to workers. Workers are getting smarter. Good for them.
