In response to last week's decision by officials in Graz, Austria to rename their sports stadium from Arnold Swarzenegger Stadium to something else, Arnold, pulled the rug out from under them...
In a fax to the Graz city council, Swarzenegger stated...
"I withdraw from them as of this day the right to use my name in association with the Liebenauer Stadium"
He also revoked the city's right to use his name to advertise or promote the city and returned the "friendship ring" given to him by city officials in 1997. He added...
"Since, however, the official Graz appears to no longer accept me as one of their own, this ring has lost its meaning and value to me. It is already in the mail,"
