All across the nation, schools are being closed on election day due to safety fears. Traditionally, schools have been very popular as voting locations because they can accommodate a lot of people, they usually have lots of parking, and everyone in the community knows where they are and can usually get to them fairly easily. But now there is a big movement to

Normally they don't. Post office does, schools don't. While some do. The majority don't.
Kids don't vote, most ppl work on election day. Other than Federal and few State jobs.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that school will be in session on that day in my area because some of the schools here are actually where some of the voting takes place. The machines get brought in to the school buildings and everything.
