Scathing FOX editorial warns of the influence the Super Rich have on politics

LOL, after the democrats and their rich donors bought the 2020 election in collusion with the FBI, now they are worried when the shoe is on the other foot and the playing field is more or less level.
How much money did Kamala spend? HINT: $1billion

How much did Trump spend? $425m less than half.
Elmo brought in more than 3/4 of a billion dollars for tRump in various ways. Add that to the tRump campaign money and it's well over what Harris spent.

Various ways? Like what?

And you're free to say that.
You weren't free to say that about Hillary, right before an election.
Until Citizen's United.
huh? Citizens United established corporate personhood. It has nothing to do with free speech for me or you.

Bernie is right. The super rich are turning the US into an Oligarchy.
Sure. Right in front of us. That's one of the features of a strongman autocracy. It has been growing for years, but these billionaires saw the opportunity -- a needy con man who is easily manipulated -- and they have run with it.

The relationship between the strongman and the Oligarchs is always tenuous, though. As we see in Russia, where Oligarchs who get a little sideways with the Big Guy often find themselves accidentally falling out of windows.

This appears to be what we want -- people with more than us to take care of us. Who knew. I had no idea we were so damn weak. Neither did the rest of the world.

Bernie is right. The super rich are turning the US into an Oligarchy. They have enough money to sway election in any direction they chose. It seem Bezos and Zuck are more interested in gaining favor with trump as they donate to his inaugural fund. Musk is just nuts. If voters do not wake up, the US will become a country like Russia....payed for and owned by the super rich.
Socialist Sanders railing against the rich. Stop the presses.

Citizen's United was about an anti-Hillary movie that was to be released before the 2008 democrat primaries.

In the wake of these decisions, Citizens United sought to establish itself as a bona fide commercial filmmaker before the 2008 elections, producing several documentary films. During the 2008 political primary season, it sought to run three television advertisements to promote its political documentary Hillary: The Movie, a film that was critical of Hillary Clinton, and to air the movie on DirecTV.[9] The FEC found this plan to be in violation of the BCRA, including Section 203 which defined an "electioneering communication" as a broadcast, cable, or satellite communication that mentioned a candidate within 60 days of a general election or 30 days of a primary, and prohibited such expenditures by corporations and labor unions. The FEC prohibited the film from being broadcast, and Citizens United challenged this determination in court.[1]

And how much did the billionaires for Harris spend above the billion and half she snorted up her nose?

I thought Fox was FAKE NEWS.

Have a nice day, crackpot

The rich can’t change laws. Only the politicians you worship can. Politicians become rich during their tenure. Lifetime politician Clemency For Child Rapists *Joe would be an excellent example.
I do not worship ANY politician. I hold them accountable for what they do and don't do.

It wasn't Reagan, it was Nixon's opening up of China and the mass migration of US factories to China that doomed the US middle class. That mass migration was due in part to unions becoming too powerful such that companies lost profitability.
Look at the mess Boeing is in today.
Republicans are bringing back manufacturing jobs now that automation has made manufacturing profitable again.

p.s. what disastrous Reagan policies are Republicans advancing? Link please.
‘It took Everyman on Main Street some time to figure out that they’ve been had and finally revolt — 35 years to be more precise. There has been no shortage of big promises since Reagan’s “It’s Morning again in America,” but in the end, they all left the middle class staring into thin wallets while their manipulators were living high on the hog. The failed big ideas began with Reaganomics. The stimulating effect of its tax cuts was supposed to “trickle down” to the masses, but the flow had the viscosity of molasses and stuck with the ultrarich.’

Working Americans are voting against their own interests when voting for Republicans.

They should increase pay for members of Congress so that you don’t have to be rich to do it.
$174,000 plus all the perks. All the other money counts to many times that and should be illegal .But it is all commonplace now.
