I will say that the right/conservatives truly care about their country.
But cable news has ruined our ability to get valid, usable information.
Reagan repealed the Fairness Doctrine in 1987, making it OK for news outlets and print media to drop the practice of giving equal time to opposing politicians and policies. Much to the detriment of us all.

That is some interesting revisionist history there, but very inaccurate.

The truth is, Black Congressmen were 100% Republican starting with Joseph Rainey till Aurthor Mitchell who was the first elected Black democrat in 1935, not the late 1940's. In fact, there were 22 consecutive black Republicans all elected in the deep South as Republicans. Interestingly black congressmen were then 100% democrat up until the year 1991.

So what changes in the 1930's? Any idea?
