Zone1 Say Goodbye to The Second Amendment--and most of the others as well. Ron Unz

Many of the MAGA types who used to strongly support the Second Amendment no longer do as they support the murder of Mr. Pretti

The article is rather long, but very well written.
Mr Pretti?

The jobless lunatic attacking ICE agents while packing a pistol?

He’s not worthy of all the deference you’re giving him

Ha! Ha!

Come on booboo prove me wrong
We are now seeing that what these untrained ICE assholes are doing is purposely getting the car to "hit" them as the car drives off. Now they get to say "oh he hit me with a car I can now arrest them"

You're a ******* notsee bro.

The fact is, liberals are being murdered for doing things conservatives do and get away with. Kyle is a perfect example. You know what Rittenhouse did right? Well a liberal open carried a gun in a BLM protest. He was a white liberal marching with a bunch of blacks. A MAGA asshole sitting in his car sees a man in the protest walking towards him with an assault rifle. He has a gun in his car and shoots the guy because the guy was "walking towards him" and he feared for his life. He was found guilty, rightfully so, but Gov Abbott of Texas, another asshole, pardoned him after he was found guilty by a jury.

You are ******* NOTSEES! Lucky you and Trump won't be here for much longer. But then new assholes like Charlie Kirk will take over when you are gone. LOL

Rittenhouse was 100% within the law. The video shows he was attacked by armed men with a criminal history. He was alone and had 4 attackers. One armed with a gun. Rittenhouse is shown to be retreating. One pointed a gun at him and he fired. Another hit him with a skateboard and got shot.
This meets the standard for stand your ground, disparit force, serious bodily injury or death is imminent. Open carry is legal.
Rittenhouse had a perfect defense.
On November 19, 2021, a Kenosha, Wisconsin jury acquitted Kyle Rittenhouse on all five charges, including first-degree intentional homicide, in the fatal shooting of two men and wounding of a third during August 2020 protests. Rittenhouse, then 17, claimed self-defense, a defense that prevailed after 26 hours of jury deliberation.

Key details regarding the acquittal:
  • Charges: Rittenhouse was found not guilty of homicide, attempted homicide, and reckless endangerment.
  • Context: The shootings occurred during civil unrest following the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha.
  • Defense Argument:
Lawyers argued Rittenhouse used necessary force to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm

I disagree regarding the Pretti shooting.
He had no business sticking his nose into a law enforcement action. With a gun in his waistband. Exhibiting the same anger he had a week earlier when he kicked out the tail light of an ICE vehicle.
It was justified.
I wouldn't say the shooting was justified. But given his anger issues as evidenced by his behavior captured another demonstration, he had no business carrying a weapon when planning to attend another demonstration.

HIs judgement was terrible but he never met the test for deadly force

Actually he was a sympathetic figure.
A young man, not too bright, and not knowing any better.

Legal analysts suggest the jury in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial may have developed sympathy for him due to his young age, emotional breakdown on the stand, and testimony, which potentially humanized him and swayed the verdict toward acquittal. This perceived empathy was a key factor in the November 2021 verdict

He met the standard for use of deadly force. He was attacked first and retreated. His attackers were armed one with a gun. Serious bodily injury or death was imminent

Wrong again Jackass, nice try but no cigar. We support the ability of LE to defend itself in the face of being left to deal with a violent mob crowd to control sent at them by the city to obstruct them while trying to conduct enforcement operations.

Pretti brought a loaded gun to a riot knowing he was going to start a brawl with police, the gun went off, something went wrong, Pretti became an armed attacker and threat to the officer's lives and he paid the ultimate price.

The only people who bear responsibility for Pretti are Pretti himself, the mayor and the governor who all made it happen.

Besides, if Pretti is not responsible, an armed man and violent combatant, then Ashli Babbitt, totally unarmed and totally non-violent, cannot possibly be.

Nov 11, 2021 — His young appearance — one witness testified that the 18-year-old defendant has a "baby face" — could help the jury sympathize with him,

Did you watch the trial?

Gov. Abbott pardons Daniel Perry, who was convicted of killing a Black Lives Matter protester

Perry WAS sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing Garrett Foster during an altercation at a protest in 2020.

Daniel Perry, who was convicted of murder for fatally shooting a demonstrator during a Black Lives Matter protest in 2020, has been pardoned.

Perry was driving for Uber when he encountered a crowd of Black Lives Matter protesters. Foster, an Air Force veteran who was armed with an assault rifle, approached Perry’s vehicle. Perry then shot Foster multiple times. Both men were legally carrying their weapons.

“With this pardon, the Governor has desecrated the life of a murdered Texan and US Air Force veteran, and impugned that jury's just verdict,” she said. “He has declared that Texans who hold political views that are different from his – and different from those in power – can be killed in this State with impunity."

DA Garza also condemned the decision to pardon Perry, saying the board and Abbott made a “mockery of our legal system.”

“Their actions are contrary to the law and demonstrate that there are two classes of people in this state where some lives matter and some lives do not,” Garza said in a statement.

You sicken me. All you cons sicken me. You play politics with our lives. If it's a liberal who's murdered, you don't give a ****. I spit on you.

Im not familiar with the facts of this case. From what I read he should not have been pardoned.

Without question.
He really fucked up on a number of levels.

There is zero evidence Prettis gun went off. Where is the spent casing? Pretti was helpless when shot. He must be an imminent threat to use deadly force. He was disarmed and surrounded by 4 agents and on his knees. This is case of manslaughter.

There is audio and video of Prettis gun discharging in the hand of an ICE agent
