Saudis break ties with US (Obama)

Only conservatives would cry about losing an "alliance" with a theocratic monarchy.

And one that manipulates terrorists to attack us, while urging us to attack nations in the middle east.

Yes idiot, we are only to form alliances and relationships with 100% pure and perfect democracies, free and clear of all human rights violations or blemishes...are people this stupid really alive today?

Ah bullshit.

If W had "lost" the alliance with the Saudis during his time in Office, all you liberals and so-called "progressives" would have been on him like stupid on a twoofer.

Who gives a rat's ass if Saudi Arabia is (or is not) a theocratic based monarchy? How THEY run their own part of the world is supposedly not our fuckin' business, anyway. Or so we have all been repeatedly told -- by liberals.

The point is not whether we happen to like or care for their form of "government." The point is: does our relationship with them -- in terms of international diplomacy -- help us or hurt us now that they have exposed this significant rift?

And the fact is: we do get huge volumes of fucking OIL from that region. So it has very probably been in our interest to be on more or less good terms with them.

Obumbler is fucking EVERYTHING up.

Really now.

I supported attacking Afghanistan and destroying the camps. I was all in when that happened..and supported Bush for that action. Said so many times, and WHILE it was happening. You were even there.

And I've always thought the Saudis were involved in 9/11.

Vaporizing a couple of those Princes in their castles would have taught them a pretty good lesson not to fuck with the US of A.
Shallow minded thinking in a complex world. Loosing the Saudis would be a disaster. Time and again, they have stepped up to balance the price of oil in an unstable Middle East. If you want to pay $10 or $15 a gallon and watch our economy collapse as Obama does, then you should cheer for loosing the Saudis. We are not energy independent yet and won't be anytime soon.

Unfortunately, yes.

Karzai isn't theocratic, but hes a horror who threw and election and Obama doubled down on him....any angst there?

Speak for yourself about making alliances with bastards, we all do not make that choice.

Integrity is a virtue that still exists in this world, we could choose to seek that instead of making alliances with bastards.

Saudi Arabia severs diplomatic ties with US over response to conflict in Syria | Mail Online

Can you imagine what would happen if Saudi Arabia dumps all its U.S. Treasury bonds?

If relations with the Saudis continue like this, they will eventually, say five, ten years from now, stop importing oil to the U.S. That'll hurt the U.S. economy tremendously, as will if the Saudis stop buying fighter jets and arms from us and buy them instead from Russia and elsewhere.

right----saudi arabia can set up their economy with russia and china-----
which will easily satisfy the saudi need for FOOD IMPORTS ---------

all we have to do is NATIONALIZE our bonds----worry not---the saudis
cannot feed themselves----and they cannot drink the oil

Oil is not that hard to sell. They can always find countries to buy it from them. Already the richest oil country in the world, Saudi Arabia will be eating many times better than we will be.

Yup! - They don't have to rely on the USA. They can feed themselves, switch petro currency & alliance with China or Russia. A lot of the USA empire super powers come from our petro-dollar enforced by our military stationed near vast oil reserves.

They sure have and walked away from a UN Security Council meeting because of it. Jordan and the UAE will soon follow.

obama will see to it that we have no alliances whatsoever before he's done.

That way we can quickly get rid of 3000 Americans, some really expensive real estate and still make the evening news.

Good stuff, boys.

After putting idiots into power like Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, you folks have absolutely no right to complain about "shallow thinking".

funny, the website for the Saudi embassy to the USA says nothing about diplomatic ties being severed.

Saudi-U.S. Relations

Fret not-----in a few days----the ambassador from Saudi arabia will describe
the thunder and bluster as ---"cultural"------"arabic hyperbole"

a break in diplomatic relations between the USA and SA would be all over the NY Times, Fox News, CNN.

yet they have no such story.

why? cause its false.

Brought to you by folks who put Jimmy Carter in the Oval Office. What a work of art.

Pay attention, Haffwit, nobody said they were "severed". Sheesh what a dunce.

Saudi Arabia warns of shift away from U.S. over Syria, Iran | Reuters

(Reuters) - Upset at President Barack Obama's policies on Iran and Syria, members of Saudi Arabia's ruling family are threatening a rift with the United States that could take the alliance between Washington and the kingdom to its lowest point in years.

Does this mean that Saudi Arabia will start defending its own country and kick out the US army?

Saudi Arabia has already bombed Shiite terrorists sponsored by Iran, in neighboring Yemen. The Shiite vs Sunni proxy war started a long time ago in Lebanon and in Iraq.

Carter never made deals with Terrorist to further his political career.

That would be your boy Ronnie Reagan.

Who committed Treason.

We'll never pay $10 or $15 a gallon. If the Saudis don't do what we tell them to do, the US will just TAKE their oil by force. That was the lesson from Iraq.
