I see your point. The harder one works the farther behind they getWhy didn't you see a corresponding increase to the funding of SS when the minimum wage was increased, init? Contributions are a percentage of earnings--there should have been an increase in funding. I am all for workers--doubling the minimum wage did nothing for them. They increased their taxes. The working poor were taken off of the dole and inflation ate up the rest -- workers saw nothing. In addition MANY jobs were lost due to employers cutting back on entry-level jobs and hours. This isn't rocket science unless half of your brain has been lost to senility.
